This is a serious problem that is also addressed in David Martin Anderson's just-released novel, 'The Last Good Horse.' I suggest listening to the author's YouTube interview by doing a YouTube search using his full name. The book is excellent (deals with the mass slaughter of our mustang herds in Montana during the 1930s; historical fiction) and should be mandatory reading for anyone over sixteen.

ABUSE! Every horse need almost two acres.

I have no problem with people keeping horses in a stable as long as they can go out in the paddock whenever they want. "Just saying."

@Spellisawsome Think about it ,Horses are herd animals and if you magicaly put 40 horses on 80 acres separated with 2 acres per horse, they would eventually all wind up on 2 acres. They are not out to pasture, they get hay !

And you may think most horses should be running free i understand that and i also hate the racetrack but some horses would rather be kept in for they find it hard to survive during winter in the wild

No, they were not being chased by a Helicopter. These beautiful horses live at Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue and were simply playing in a 20 acre pasture.
