  • NO WAY IN THE WORLD!!

  • @clgil77 Why do you hate fun?

  • @mattmccabedotcom I don't have fun..but I'm a chicken at least I own it. I just recently did the Cajon Pass and Mountain Pass In California near the Inland Empire outside of San Bernardino. I'm Good... ;-)

  • @clgil77 meant I don't "hate" fun not "have"

  • Gonna have to take the big Ford E-350 van thru this scenic twisty road next year.

  • Excellent video, Matt! Nice. What was your recording setup? BTW, great music track, too! Perfect for the occasion. Maybe "ridin' the storm out" from REO Speedwagon for your winter reprise...preferably not on the BMW.

  • @dsnyders Thanks. Back then I had some wired bullet camera connected to a mini hard drive DVR. I think I'll go back this coming year and get it on HD!

  • I nearly soiled myself driving this in my sedan! Do you have a video of the other direction?

  • Great vid, nice tunes.. good job.

Part of my 'Territory' during working years. The spring melt runoff broken edges are more dramatic when seen up close and personal. Drifting past them leaves a sweating back after the fast tours. Watched while the winch truck pulled up one of the 'Whoopsies'. Left a long trail down through the scrubby trees. A vid of 'That' ride would have been something to see.

  • wonderful!!!! God bless America :)

  • Red Mountain Pass scared the crap out of me when I was a little kid - not even old enough to reach the gas and brake pedals in a car. I would probably have a proper panic attack trying to drive it LOL

  • I've been over Red Mountain Pass many times, but never when I had my 'Wing...too bad. The San Juans rock. I remember my first time going up Red Mtn in 1984 (March). Had a 4x4 and didn't know a thing about mountains and snow. We survived, but when I went back in the spring I was staggered when I saw the drop off to the right. Angels must have been watching me.

  • Good work dude

  • great stuff all the best RobotRuss

  • Just made this trip this january after a snow storm, Road was ice packed and we were pulling a 3/4 ton truck on a trailer, We actually had to wait for them to shoot slides (avalanches) before we could pass talk about a scary trip wont due it again during the winter!! It is beautiful though!!

  • This is why I live here. This road is my favorite ride. What an adreneline RUSH. Appropriate Song

  • good job on the video,,,,,I've been to colorado,,,but in a car --sigh

  • A great bit of filming,a perfect evocation of a stunning landscape.

  • Makes me Jones for another BMW.

  • Killer ride!

  • Perfect song to accompany the vid, awesome road.

  • drive red mountain during winter, its so awsome

  • Great video. Enjoy wating it. What kind of camera did you use?

  • we almost got run off the edge by a tour bus with no brakes

  • One of my favorite roads. Try it in January at midnight, under a full moon for an extra erie effect. Similar thrill to "The Road to Hana" - Maui, HI. Thanks for the ride!

  • i would love to skate down the second half of this

  • Thats a good ride. Been there, done that.

  • Wow. Are you still alive? That was some risky passing at 4:13.

  • Safety Third!

  • Thats awesome. My father in law and myself make this pass every year.
