  • Even if the new version half the size its still unweldy and seriously a adjustable wrench? are you trying to wreck the lugnuts? what about recessed lugnuts

  • might as well make it an automatic jack while you are at it.... lazy shitheads...

  • how about this... use a thing called muscles?

  • THE WHEEL SCRATCHER

  • I just keep a rubber mallet in my trunk with my wrench. I also often have a 1/4" drive impact driver in my trunk which is good to about 120ftlbs.

The rubber mallet and normal wrench do the trick every time.

  • It DOES work and it is just a proof of concept prototype. Check out the later design at Impact Wrench Prototpye-2. The second one is also a proof of concept but much more compact than the first prototype (and it can be made another 50% smaller).

  • it might work but you would have to keep a whole entire drawer for it that things freaking huge

  • so your market is people without the strength to force a tyre iron, but what you dont realise, is that these people dont change a wheel... ever. they call someone for help. the spare tyre replacement process is a total mystery to them. anybody who changes their own tyr has enough common sense to not need this gadget.

  • that would be a shitty thing to have while your stuck on the side of the road on the freeway when cars are zooming buy you at 80 mph

  • @fuckiraq12

Check out Impact Wrench Prototype-2. Much smaller but still a prototype. Can be made even smaller and with a cover and be used for any nuts (this one uses an adjustable wrench to open a lug nut in only two impacts)!

  • A cheater bar can potentially sheer off a lug nut if it's old or seized. It can also potentially destroy a socket by 'tuliping' it open like a flower if it's a cheap one. I know, I've experienced both. This design is not as simple and practical for everyday use, but looks to fill the gap between a simple wrench and an air ratchet or impact.

  • cordless is the awnser

  • Huh. I just use a cheater bar if it is so tight my iron can't get it. Where is the market for this? Shops have air guns already and I can't see many people carrying this in their trunk.

  • lol i always fins my self using the CHEATER BAR lol

  • I dont think the designer came out of the stone age! You can get a decent cordless impact for 160 bucks

  • @lovemym16

It is only a proof of concept prototype. Nothing like what a commercial version would look like. Check out Impact Wrench Prototype-2. Much smaller but still a prototype. • @sterlingab

not for mechanics (they have access to pnuematic (compressed air). For someone on side of road who may not be strong enough to use tire iron.

  • whats the max torque output, looks weak

  • @CdnSpecOps

Weak! It opens a lug with an adjustable wrench and only 2 impacts! How much stronger can it be without snapping the lug off.

  • what the hell!!!!

  • or you could just buy a cordless impact wrench.

  • @jeffbrent

Cordless would be much more expensive.

  • @jeffbrent

they can be expensive and you need a full battery to get even a small car tire off so if u have a truck your pretty much out of luck

  • @JonnyG3 You don't know anything about cordless impacts do you? First off yes good ones are expensive but you don't need a full battery charge to take off even small tires. My snap on will bust truck lugs loose all day long with out ever re-chargeing the battery. This tool is a joke single blows like that could take forever to get a really tight lug loose.

  • like why that.... wut ever happened to using the iron?? laziness

  • we have summit easier than tht to loosen wheel nuts its called a power bar its simple to use lol not like tht thing if tht was used in mechancics garage it wouldnt survive one day

  • Good idea, but they need something alittle more simple.
