FASCIST AMERIKA UPDATE, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING.
The Corrections Corporation of America, the nation's largest operator of for-profit prisons, has sent letters to 48 states offering to buy up their prisons and it might be tempting in times of budget crises. But in exchange, the company is asking for a 20 year management contract, PLUS AN ASSURANCE THAT THE PRISONS WOULD REMAIN AT LEAST 90% FULL.
keep pushing the people just keep pushing you got know idea how big the mob will be and marines and police will join forces with bikers so just keep pushing
Good news, the First Circuit Court of Appeals held recording police is protected by the First Amendment. This IL law would be thrown out if the Seventh Circuit ruled similarly.
Having evidence against the police brutality is against the law. Police car record you without permission and that is legal. Where is superman when we need him most?
Say bye bye to your rights. 75 years is EXTREMLY EXCESSIVE. And needs a slap on the hand and maybe a fine. We are getting closer and closer to a dictatorship.
Uh, actually what the reporter did was a felony. The law doesn't say you can't play an audio recording, it says you cannot record audio without permission. Arrest him!
This is crazy. How can they possibly enforce this. The government controls way to much of our lives. Recording the police keeps them in check to a point. Think about how many cops have done wrong. Then got suspended or fired because someone caught it all on tape. If they can have camera's we should be able to have them. The people are going to have to go to war with these ignorant greedy fucks!
This is reprehensible. Police are public servants. There is no reasonable excuse why the citizens should not have license to record them while discharging their duties.

IF an officer is caught breaking the law, he will get a raise, book deal, and his own reality talk show.
And you have to remember the cops want cameras in their cars to film wrongdoing, only if they don't get caught.
Remember the Rodney King case. The officer hit him only once, The other fifty-six blows were self inflicted.

Horrendous misuse of the "justice system." I think this whole thing ought to be headed to the Supreme Court.
