whooooooa, very dangerous to be using a live aed, although it detects a heart beat and wont shock if it detects, but i wouldnt trust it lol , only to be used for emergencies
very good demonstration, but i think it would have been better if the man didn't jump when you "shocked" him. this nothing bad or anything just that if any of the class ever has to use the AED they may thing they are doing something wrong if the person doesn't jump.
but great video never the less, and i will prob use it in the lifeguard training courses i do :)
ok everyone let me make this clear this was a video for my high school first responder class my junior year it is not going to be completely accurate is to simply demonstrate how an a e d can save your life and if it's such a shitty video how come it won first place in the american heart association video contest this video won my high school an aed
Any use of an AED is good! The whole point of them is that they can't do harm, don't be afraid to use one even if your mate has just fainted. It won't shock unless the patient needs it! Well done guys
Want an AED? Look up American Med Supply on YouTube. You'll find we are giving an Automated External Defibrillator away, along with a bunch other awesome gifts. Nothing to buy, just register for the drawing.

This is a good video for students to watch... I just had training to become an instructor of CPR & AED through the AHA today. The only problem I saw that you might want to pass on is that the students should NOT take the AED pads off of the victim... leave them on even if the victim gets a pulse. The medics or Emergency responders should be the only one's to remove these. Good practice for your students though, it makes them familiar with using the AED!
dude its called STAGED ok it gets the point across for sudden cardiac arrest its a trainer AED it was for my high school emergency medical responder class if you dont like it then there was no need for the negative comment thank you for your criticism
@CreightonEMT umm yeah given the purpose of the film besides the acting which I am sure you have issue with as well, I can assure you this is NOT the worst AED managment out there...I've seen MUCH MUCH worse from "Trained" Firefighting personel.. at actual emergency scenes the bottom line Its agreat laypersons Demonstration video... or maybe you could make a perfect one ..

@Skippetts21 They have trainer AED's with no charge. We used them in school but I am not sure if that was a trainer or not?

@colinbucci Damn. As a paramedic, I'd think that you'd be able to spell "breathing", "circulation", and "respiration".
