  • I am a software engineer and I know zero about accounting or any other financial stuff..thank you ma'am you made accounting very easy.its like eating a banana.

  • Very simply explained though I think it would have useful to have included intangible assets i.e. assets that you can't see or touch e.g. goodwill, brands etc.

  • Uhm... Best teacher ever, much? o_o

  • how come 3 disliked this!!?

  • @hossamrida maybe those people were teachers and also posted their videos, but seing her videos they got jealous, of how she teaches it much better

  • she is very good wish i had an apple to give her. very good teacher;)thank you

  • Here I don't have to worry about how I look, at the girls staring at me from across class, or all the other stigma I have while in my institute. Here I can fully focus on my own time and not have to worry about writing it all down

  • fabelous i like u r style cool and simple keep going

  • well... my best definition for an assets..

is everything that we posses that we can turn into money... tangible or non tangible...

  • Thank you. I'm learning Book keeping/Accounting on my own.

I'll be back for more. :)

  • Thank you so much for making these videos. Because I think I am so smart, I decided to take a 15 week-accounting course in only 3 weeks. Neeedless to say, this was a bad idea (because I have absolutely no accounting background). Thanks again...I may just be able to do well on the next test because of you!!

  • Can u give business example of how the credit card co. works finances ?

  • I think that you should use your PC to prepare your lecture instead of hand writing.

  • Susan I love You

  • great teacher indeed.

  • Food: "yea, you could eat it doesn't it?"

  • i love assets!!!

  • Hi Susan, lesson 3, and I am still with you. I do like your subtle sense of humor.

    Zhenmin

  • i just niticed; she's a lefty.=)

  • I don't know about the accounts receivable. There are some deadbeats out there. As if there wasn't already enough incentive to not start a business.

  • Cash is an asset? I wouldn't consider cash an asset in itself, but what you use the cash for.. like buying stock maybe? a condo etc

  • @Isreal4realz ur from israel ur cash isn't an asset its an idol worship

  • thank yu...

  • How exactly is insurance; prepaid insurance in this case an asset? I understand the rest of the list but just not insurance... o.o

  • I take that you pay your insurance in statements and thats why you don't relate. Assume that you prepaid for the whole year of 2010. Now you have an asset " 1 year of insurance" If you lets say cancel in june, half of it became expense because you used it ( you were covered for 6 months) , and half of it will be returned to you as cash.

  • Great..Thank you sooo much..Been clear!!! not like my stupid teacher

  • gr8888888888888888888. . . .

  • "cash is my favorite four letter word".........lol

  • @ebunny5 cash will be your favorite until you start doing a cash flow statement

    then ull hate it

  • @TheSindig lol

  • @ebunny5

    yeah man....

when they start talking about the direct cash flow and the indirect cash flow which i totally rather....

    ull hate cash big time!

it's the worst cuz is the most usable... cuz is the most liquid asset a co. can own

    cuz is 100% liquid.

    HATE IT

    i rather expenses

  • mine aslo lol

  • @ebunny5 why it is not L O V E

  • @ebunny5 WHY IT IS NOT L O V E

  • so...whats the difference of accounts recievable and the notes recievable??

hope you make some videos that starts from journal entries and ended in adjusting journal entries..

BTW, thanks for all your videos. :)

    GOD bless you..

  • Accts Receivable are from credit sales of inventory to customers of the company. Notes Receivable relate to loan payments to be received by the company from someone they loaned something (usually cash) to. Normally there will be a principle amount and an interest amount that are accounted for in separate accounts.
