As good as this guitar player is doing Hendrix, it makes me appreciate even more how great Hendrix was. That's not a slam to this guy at all. I think going through a Marshall 100watt stack would produce more authentic tone with the feedback always looming. The Fender sounds too tame. Great job!!!

He's pretty good... but his guitar's somewhat bizarre. Jimi's guitar famously was a right handed fender strat restrung to a left handed configuration such that the guitar was played entirely upside down. Now obviously the player is playing his guitar righthanded - not that there's a problem in that - but you'll notice that he's using some kind of a chimera strat; the body is facing in the standard configuration, but the headstock is upside down. It's very weird...
