  • I chipped the side of my front tooth and now i have a huge gap in the middle of my teeth, can i get a crown? and does the dentist take alot away from your original tooth?

  • @xCaitlinHx

Yes you can get crowns but depending on the case we might be able to solve it with veneers. The dentist takes away from the original tooth the amount necessarily needed. For further information or to book an appointment please visit our webpage.

  • does this make teeth smaller?

  • @WweMariaa

No, your teeth will be the same size as before.

  • does getting a crown hurts? & how long does it takes ?

  • @supabaddhester0

No it does not hurt as you will be given local anaesthetic. It usually takes a couple of days, definately less than a week. Between filing and the final work you are given a so called temporary crown so you won't be left toothless.

  • May I please have your permission to show this in a Dental Assisting class.? It would be a very helpful teaching tool

  • @MissMMC24

Yes, you are allowed to use with the condition that the video (containing the logo, webaddress, other contact info) and the subtitles are not removed, edited or altered in any way.

  • my toothe was filed down to amost nothing, like a tooth pick. I don't understand why they are necessary when so much tooth has to be destroyed

  • @busybuzzbuzz

This is something that needs to be discussed with your dentist, I am sure the amount of filing he/she made was reasonable.

  • Hi, I'm 14 & in 1 month my braces will come off. I have 2 peg lateral teeth on either side of my front teeh. My dentist said they'll put temporary porcleain crowns on them until I'm older & my teeh are developed. I was wondering if they are still going to shave down my teeth? They are pegs already & their quite small. So are they going to be reshaped? And should I bleach my teeth before I get the temporary crowns so my teeth can all be a bright white?

  • @sunnyandkaitlyn

Teeth are always filed down even if they are only temporaries but they wont' be filed further for the permanent ones.

Whitening is advised before the crowns are placed as the color of the crown will be adjusted to the color of the whitened teeth.

  • What is a better route .. Bridge or just a implant... I have a missing tooth and i had 2 bridges. they all break after a while and every time I get it done My tooth next to it keeps getting smaller since it needs to re-shape to attach the cement... So i'm afraid of loosing my other tooth too. :(

  • @gatitoroulette15

Well usually imlants last longer. The lifetime of a well maintained crown is around 7-8 years while implants can last longer.

VitalEurope provides a minimum 3 year guarantee on medical treatment and restoration work and up to 10 years on implants.

  • hmm if its the best why does my moms always fall out?

  • @TheInvertKid

Probably it has not been attached well. A crown should get a huge impact to come off.

  • im scared to death because i have to have 2 teeth crownd. he looked like he was using a saw to trim the tooth.. omg im bout to faint.

  • @TangerineGroovin

Well, dont worry its not a saw :) and its natural that a high percent of patients are scared of dentists. However these procedures are done with local anaesthetic so you do not feel anything.

  • So a porcelain crown can replace a missing tooth?

  • Yes it can replace a missing tooth in the form of a 3 unit bridge.

  • @luney3232

Yes it can. Crowns and bridges can be made of porcelain fused to metal, full porcelain and Procera.

  • Oh, okay. Thank you for the information. Much appreciated

  • Thank you, I have already gotten it done. The only thing that was annoying was the needle that had to take away some of the Gum Tissue. They mentioned a Root Canal on another Tooth. I heard that hurts like hell.

  • @SmashTheStAte199

Don't worry root canal treatment does not hurt, as I said you will always be given local anaesthetic before every procedure and dentists make sure you don't feel anything.

  • @szorfipaula ''Don't worry root canal treatment does not hurt'' Tell that to the reason for my dentist phobia!

Am I the only one that even after 3 anesthetics still felt pain? I even puked during the procedure and I was what 8 years old.

  • Does this hurt at all? I have to get this done tomorrow :/

  • @SmashTheStAte199

No, it won't hurt as you will be given local anaesthetic before filing.
