  • I have a member of one of the worlds disappearing food tribes under my bed

  • after yacking for 2 hours try and say something.....

  • I thought of that wage ratio idea years ago, forgot all about it until now... be nice but its never gonna happen.

  • I've been in the same position with regards to opinions on the internet and how to deal with feedback from it. The first thing (which you covered) is not to post it in the first place; the second thing is not to reply, at least not straight away. Sleep on it, let it blow over then explain your reasons when the dust has settled.

Bloody nerve racking whilst it's going on though.

  • Sorry you were so upset by the "Twitter Tsunami" - so easy to take things the wrong way. I didn't - but I can see sometimes how the lack of available characters can mean things get misconstrued. Looking forward to all the new car pools!!!

  • Btw, Charlie who? Another one of these You-Tube famous for 5 minutes people?

  • Havn't looked forward to a T.V. programme in ages...

  • I'm SORRY! Robert, I'm American and long-time fan (and subscriber). I am proud that UK is our greatest Ally. I'm so sorry for what happened with the PM at the White House. Oh, and how do I see the new RD in the US? I can't get Dave.

  • It's going to be on DVD and maybe on iTunes... sure it will show up on here anyway

  • I've just stumbled upon these.

Could someone kindly explain what a "wet" liberal is?

    Please and thank you!

  • if you look over the older ones he tells you

  • Because just telling him yourself would just be too easy... :P

  • yes and no my comp went up the creek ages ago so im using my wii [nintendo] with just a wii mote and no keyboard typing and spelling in a bitch. ;)

  • Heya Bob, who was that youtuber that you mentioned in your video?

  • Bob please can you 'borrow' Starbug Smart and do a Car Pool in that. Please...

    Oh and another great WLW.

  • I saw that comment on Twitter. I knew what you meant. Love the videos ^_^

  • See? You believe the hype, so you believe you are losing thousands of pounds, so you get angry and defensive at something that probably doesn't even exist. You have no way to prove those people would buy your content, if there wasn't a way to get it for free. Of course this is the tack the big studios take, and you bought it too.

  • Piracy has meant I can't afford to make another film, it's taken metaphorical food off my table and thus affected my quality of life and that of my family. It's not hype, I can see how many times Pirate Bay have helped people share my film. I'm not angry, but I do have to defend the right of the producer not to have his pockets riffled by freeloading scumbags. Perhaps these people wouldn't buy my film, but they care enough to want to download it, don't they? Get off my Internet, silly man :D

  • No, making an awful film, means you can't afford to make another awful film. Piracy is too oft used as an excuse for tumbling spending on what are essentially luxury items. Take a look at the world around, and the economic depression, and be grateful that there are millions of people (even just in your own country) that are worse off than you.

  • Suddenly you're an expert on my income, lifestyle and (award-winning) film. Have you gone through my bins? Are you stalking me? Fail

Anyway- As always, a fine video Bobby. Thanks for sharing. I didn't see the Twitterfuss at the time, but having gone back through your Tweets I see you were reacting to something that made me raise an eyebrow too. You can't please everyone all the time and it isn't like anyone died. Well... You know what I mean. Don't take it to heart, you didn't deserved grief.

  • You don't have any rights. Those are part of an intellectual construct.

You don't have any special protections, sorry we live in a universe of scarcity. None of us get the justice we imagine.

People invented a duplicator/teleporter for intangible media, that means you have to adjust your expectations and your plan for producing media.

    Deal with it.

  • HaHaha! Oh you're very good. Thanks for that! :D

  • I see you are well versed at the fine art of not thinking critically.

  • Robert, I'm a long-time fan in the US, where can I see the new RD? I don't get Dave. Thanks for the WLW, always enjoy even tho I'm not liberal...or wet. :-)

  • The new RD hasn't aired in the UK yet, I think it's airing on Easter weekend on Dave.

I don't know where you can watch it legally, but I'm sure it'll be all over Youtube and illegal torrent sites hours after it's aired.

  • 'Illegal' torrent sites? There's no such thing. Don't you know that torrent 'sites' don't host any copyrighted material? Don't regurgitate uninformed popular media exaggerated opinions.

  • As someone with a commercial film which is being swapped via torrent sites, I don't think much of your own opinions.

  • I didn't say I agreed with piracy, and further, something that enables evil, doesn't make that thing itself evil. People always seem to side with what hits them personally, rather than what's for the greater good. It's selfish actually.

  • The greater good. I don't see how my losing thousands of pounds because of other's greed is for the greater good, but perhaps I'm just being selfish? Smeeheeee indeed.

  • You realise once something is aired on television it's completely legal for it to be shared as long as the advertisements shown with it remain in the video.

  • No, that isn't the case.

  • I'd like you to look up 'Copyright' in a dictionary. It's like Google, but it's made out of paper. Or hell, just use Google.

  • Time shifting allows you to legally copy a TV broadcast of a film or TV programme (on to a DVD or computer hard drive, for example) only when: * you make the copy in your own home; and * you copy from the original broadcast; and * your only reason for copying is to view the broadcast at a more convenient time.

  • You previously said shared. Time shifting isn't sharing. And one of the joys of recording things to watch another time is you can fast-forward through the advertisements. That's why advertisers don't like time-shifting technology.

  • Regardless, I'm not here to argue. It's kind of a shame if its not allowed as some programs don't make it to DVD, but then again the ones that do will lose some profit if it is allowed.

I wonder if Red Dwarf will be shown on BBC iPlayer, because although it is being broadcast on Dave, it originated from the BBC and they have obviously invested in this too :)

  • No BBC didn't have any part in making (I don't think).

Which is a shame because I too don't have Dave (I don't even have a TV) So I'll watch a 'friends' recording then buy the DVD (to complete my collection).

If it is on the Iplayer then I will watch it there of course but I say no was in which it would be.

  • Well, BBC International invested money in it so they do ;)

  • Oh, thanks for that, it might be on there then, that's amazing news. I'll still get my mate to record it anyway.

Even though I know how to download stuff of iplayer without DRM and the 30 day limit and without breaking the terms and conditions.

  • I cant begin to understand the psychology behind Myerson's book.. It certainly wasn't about loving her son, that's for sure..

What a cruel and vindictive thing for a mother to do..

  • Bob still loving the videos, please keep them coming and certainly the car pool with the cast sounds like its going to be great, please ensure its as long as possible! I expect with your permission it may even be worth adding as a dvd extra maybe?

  • Oh Robert, you make me do my happy dance. You are so wet and liberal like!

  • Who was the tv personality that said it?

  • You totally said "in my tesla" which must mean you have one now. Or was that a Llewbian slip. Hehe. You should be given one by now with all the good promotional stuff you have been doing for them. ;-)

  • Here's hoping we can manage to upload your Kryten skit in lovely HD or something, unless of course it's gonna be on the DVD aswell later on this year?

And that's the only issue with Twitter, not enough room to justify yourself when you dare voice an opinion. Mind you, it's less complicated then the new cluttered Facebook layout... but that's another story!

  • people are just too touchy . They need to get their heads in gear. Weird how they will jump down your throat for quite mild comments and end up loading hot coals onto you without a moments thought. Makes you feel like adding little asides like in books, 'any resemblance to any persons either living or dead is purely coincidental' LOL good old Krytie,as daft as ever.

  • you are awesome. Ignore the twitter comments, they are jumping the gun. Seeya on Carpool! I just love that stufff... oh and RD of course later.

  • You're not the only one to get in trouble using Twitter, Rob. Here in the US (Arkansas to be exact) a class-action lawsuit may be thrown out of court because a juror was caught using Twitter to talk about the case WHILE COURT WAS IN SESSION!!! Anyway, waiting not-so-patiently for April and the new RD. Can't wait for the Carpool and Kryten's YT video. Oh.. and HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!!

  • I know what it's liek to be accused of something you didn't say it is incredibly upsetting. Although I'm only a teenager I was what I consider bullied a few years ago for things I never said and you can't argue with these people because they don't want to listen to reason =[

Anyway great vid as usual I watched all the wet liberal weekly's so far and I have to say you have some good ideas and you really are someone to look up to. Will be watching the new Dwarf in April.

    - Ben

  • Kryton 2X4B 523P

Didn't even have to look that up :D

  • Charlieissocoollike?!

    Lucky you. :)

  • When will RD be released in Ireland?

I would've imagined at the same time, but yeah.

  • Twitter is just a glorified spammy version of the facebook status thing.. bleh.

  • why have you got a dildo on either side of your mac?

  • those are speakers.

  • That's funny because it made me realise that subconsciously I was thinking the same thing.

  • don't you know what fancy-pants speakers look like? :D

There's a subwoofer that looks like a bundt cake.... lol

  • dont worry rob, we still love you :)

  • Nowadays i vote 5 * before ive watched it cos i know its gonna be good!!

  • Howdy Bob, Car Pool is great. You really nailed it with that concept. I bet all the heat you have on Youtube brings thousands of new fans to RD.

What is the release date for the new RD in North America?

  • Mm... But will there be a dvd of the new shows? That's what I'm hoping for.

  • yes there will.

  • so cannot wait for the new red dwarf specials! im a massive fan and have been watching all the series over again to keep me going untill 10th april!

good vid! (even though you tortured us like that!)

  • Oh man you cant show the red dwarf things and then NOT show them its torture!!! great vid though

  • Ahh god, we love Kryten! I love Red Dwarf, and then I found your Youtube channel , and I love so much more.

  • theres an old saying that rings true, you can please some of the people all of the time but you can't please all the people all of the time. in the end just be honest with yourself and your convictions and if its not popular well the truth hurts and is seldom welcome so sod the ones who cant handle the truth ^_^

  • Nice video bob. Good explanation about Comic Relief. I do get what u mean about the celebrity making it about themselves more than the actual sad event that has affected them in the first place.

Comic Relief on TV is a bit of a double edged sword, coz no doubt some of the celebrities and presenters will of got paid a bit of £ & it kind of defeats the object. In a way I think there should be no budget for the TV coverage. Every1 should do it for free. Giving & charity is the whole point really.

  • My only critique on big charity events is the money that is spent on the after show party and there was one specific male presenter on Children in need who was still paid his fee one million pounds I believe. Any celebrity that does a charity event shouldnt be paid a fee and shouldnt have a big lavish after show party. ALL MONEY SHOULD GO TO THE GOOD CAUSES.

  • well put sir, it did get a tad frantic the other night didn't it?

  • Pfff. I'll give to Red Nose Day quite freely as long as I don't have to watch the fucking thing.

  • Youtube can be a helpful way to set the record straight *****stars;)

  • I watched the twitters on friday night. I also saw your orginial comment which I felt was valid. People just didnt go back and read and jumped on the general bandwagon of celeb bashing. I could tell how frustrated you were becoming from it all.

    Penny x

  • too short!

  • you are a legend

  • hahaha i love watching these just so i can hear you spell bobbyllew.

    biowbibiwaielelidoubleyu

didn't you used to say double L?

  • Having a life n smoking weed isnt a problem, its when smoking weed becomes your life its a problem. The same can be said for alot of things. eg alcohol, sex

  • It's been the in thing for years for a celeb to have a charity - seeing them in Africa makes them look even better. It's all one big marketing ploy. Does Jonathon Ross really care? Does Lenny Henry? I think Ross is probably more concerned if his hair's straight quite frankly, I have never rated him highly - and his fracas last year proved just that. Being a Celeb=Narcissism

  • haha wet liberal bible...

  • are they speakers or sex toys?

  • ... "Skunk"?

  • super strong weed

  • Thanks- That was mew to me. Must be a british expression. Two nations seperated by a common language, as they say.

  • YOu should put a bit of an idea what the topic is within the title... rather then just "13"... just a thought.

  • i do agree with you about RND, the charity itself is fine, but i don't like all the celebs saying how hard they find it to see stuff.

i can't say i listen to chris moyles that much, but he does a lot of charity runs and stuff.

really looking forward to the upcoming car pools :)

  • I still agree with you on Comic Relief/Red Nose Day and can't see that the donations end up reaching the right end point.

Someone like Simon Cowell or Sir Fred Goodwin could bung a small proportion of their fortune at RND and not even miss it.

Politician could do more to stop weapons sales and make medicines more available to the developing world.

  • why have you got a dildo on either side of your mac?

  • You've got to put 'em somewhere.

  • I used to read her weekly column in the saturday Grauniad, and it was funny, but I always felt she didn't understand teens. I feel that she was harsh on her son. I'm a foster parent to 'problem' teenagers and the last thing you do is give up on them. The lad was only 17 .

  • Wait, what? I thought I watched this earlier, but It's completely different. So confused...

  • I think I said it on Comic Relief night. It was Simon Cowell who pissed me off. If he contributed the same percentage of his income as the average Joe did they could have doubled the total. Money and mouth comes to mind.

  • another cool vid!

really can't wait for red dwarf now :D

  • was it fearne cotton fainting?

  • I really enjoyed that, it went really quickly! I'm all Dwarfed up after seeing the first Dave teasers this week too...

  • At the end of the day, I'm sure there are very few people who actually disagree with giving money to help less fortunate people. But I personally think it's fine to be a little cynical about the whole process of a night like comic relief itself, and in fact I think that's a pretty healthy way to be. It's not like we can go around pretending that for the rest of the two years we don't manage to fold the memory away and get on with our lives.

  • thx for posting this vid becuase i have had one of them boring dull sunday's

if it wasn't for DAVE(the tv channel obvioulsy)

than i would have been bored to death

  • I'm With You On The Subject Of Comic Relief.....................!

Be Lucky And I Can't Wait To See You In Red Dwarf.

  • I think that Comic Relief is a good thing, but there shouldn't be a need for it. Politicians are letting the people suffer.

  • Great video Rob. Looking forward to the David Mitchell carpool especially, any mention of the new peep show season?

  • i <3 wet liberal weekly.

  • Comment removed

  • wasn't that Fern Cotton who fainted in the comic relief broadcast?

  • awsome vid

  • WOW 6th to comment. I feel so significant

Another great vid Rob. Thank you

  • Nice vid today! I like Twitter seems fun, but as a 'celeb' as yer are, it can easily make snowball-down-a-hill brain wrongs. Happened to agree with you on some of the ill advised celeb commentary from the night though.

    Toot!

  • Also Rob, Do you use Live TV?

Id love to see a live interview sometime, also your fans can ask you questions and share info.

I was actually going to try send you some fan art Ive done of you. *Blush*

  • can't wait for the new episodes of car pool :D nice work awesome kryten/rob man!

  • What the hell is skunk?!!

  • Weed

  • OH!! ok ;)

  • A powerful form of Canabis.

  • Strange, I thought it would've been common knowledge by now.

Basically, it involves inhaling the excretions of the eponymous furry mammal, to achieve a transcendent zen-like state.

You should try it sometime. It's MAD.

  • XD I think I'll give it a pass. There are enough drugged up people in Scotland without me snorting animal excretions. You have fun though ;)

  • weed

  • Hi Rob!!!

I was watching red dwarf last night, I just want to say that I cant wait for the new episodes.

We all know you will always be the star of red dwarf ;3

I havent been on twitter but Im sure I will find you there. ^////^ ~

  • no you didnt there were a lot mor than these just youtube is broken

  • I care! It's not like the world is going to end now. Make a big deal outof it then why don't you.

The point is I liked the video.

  • well obviously you did for the fact you postd it

  • Oh, so now just because I made a throwaway comment on something I have to deeply care about it? Yeah, that makes perfect sense.
