dancing is something that I personally find a lot of fun to learn. I know exactly what you're talking about feeling like your shoes are too big or the board not being wide enough. the answer is that nice, smooth dancing can be done on most any board, especially any loaded board. they're all very carvy but obviously some boards (loaded dancer, other dancing boards) will be better. The way I learn a new move is to wear slim, form fitting shoes. then once you get good at it, shoe size is no concern

It could handle 30, but probably not that much faster. If you're good at bombing hills it shouldn't be a problem. I'm probably the wrong person to ask about that though; I don't bomb hills. I would say dancing is based more on being able to do it than the trucks being loose or tight. I personally like to cruise/ride around with loose trucks. I like dancing on loose trucks. Just mess around and see what's right for you. But for bombing on a dervish, I wouldn't test it over 30 unless you're good

my friend has a bustin strike and I have a dervish flex 1. I personally don't even ride his bustin strike when he's riding my dervish, it's just not as fun. I get on but it's just like "meh".

hehe, the new dervish design are cooler ! :D i realize that your message is 5months old. i believe the vanguard is better for sliding and stuff. and the dervish is better for tricks.. but u know many ppl is use to the vanny so the dervish is "shit" to them. vice versa.. i got dervish, and i dont like the vanguard. its too skinny and no nose:( but as u say. vanguard is abit cheaper but not much. i also believe that your trucks on a dervish may get wrecked alot faster than on a vanny.. so
