  • I've lived this song before.

  • R.I.P. Johnny. Hard to believe that we lost you 8 years ago today.

  • kool

  • THis is the opening song in the movie, "One Night at McCool's". Good stuff :)

  • Ha Ha, It's like my life story.. Back in those early days ; )

    Great song.. Bloody Great song

  • i hate when artists i dislike and have NOTHING to do with the song i came to listen to are brought up. i won't name any names because i would be doing the same thing.

  • One of Johnny's greatest. Also love the George Thorogood version.

  • Johnny cash is amazing! I love his music. :)

  • Johnny Cash was actually only arrested one time in his life. Wrote a song about it. Starkville City Jail. He was walking back to the hotel he was in after a concert and was arrested for pickung flowers from a city park flower bed around a flagpole. All the rest is hype. He was a pill popper and boozer but June got him off that. Knew em. Knew his life.

  • @tjohn555 He was also arrested in El Paso for drug smuggling across the border.

  • I remember when i was about 5 or 6 the first time i heard this song was at the end of some movie i think it was Lightening Jack epic song

  • song and words by Bob Dylan

  • Is it a good thing when your dad yells at you because your tapping your foot so loud because you have headphones in? haha

  • justin tmberlake too.... c the obvious/

  • the only one who disliked this song is Justin Bieber

  • @cavitverde

Or maybe it was the Kansas City Marshal.

  • @cavitverde WHY did you have to mention that little piece of crap RIGHT HERE??! :D

  • @cavitverde because J.B. is wanted in all those places as well. dead, not alive ;-)

  • same song in One Night at McCool's

  • this is by far the best version of the song for my ears .. His voice is great here an the riffs an the backing vocals are so damn funky!!! .. when this comes on my ipod/mp3 player it is so full of life an joyful it lifts my mood!!! an thats not often a thing that johnny cash music does .. but this is pure funky country magic!!!

  • @beestonpoet i agree but is it me or do the vocals sound lower on this track...i mean the volume of the vocals

  • @gasper47 Yeah they are turned a little lower than the other version .. but they are loud enough an the music aint too loud ... good mix . in my opinion ... maybe the vocals could be turned a little louder .. but the passion an power which he is singing with is thrillin .. an comes thru loud an clear .. he obviously loved singing this song .. he did it so many times an did different versions etc

  • @beestonpoet

It's not too surprising, the man was arrested seven times.

*Sigh* Maybe some day if I'm lucky, I'll get that high a record of public spectacles linked to rowdiness.. It's the dream, anyways.

  • @TheFacelessActivist One time only, read my post. Picked some flowers in Starkville Miss park and arrested for it. That's all. Look it up.

  • @tjohn555

I did, I was told it was seven. Don't blame me or anything, someone else must have gotten it wrong in that case.

...Damn, I just lost a lot of respect for the guy... I mean, I've gotten away with vandalism and breaking and entering, and he can't even get away with picking some damn flowers? I mean, I still respect the guy, just not as much... But almost as much, he's good people.

  • good ole fucking johnny

  • amazing chank sound off the rhythm
