LOL i still have the audio cassette of slayer`s set... remember when the BBC used to have it on the radio? as to ajwasp i remember when i had hair and a six pack too, not a damned keg :(
@funkfactor1 He said there wasnt enough rock music on radio at the time and to a point he is still right even now.... I remember he said of Slayer... "the stamina of an athlete and the skill of a fighter pilot"
Lying on someones settee listening to the friday rock show with a bottle of beer and good company (that would be the skint Friday) or saved cash for XL`s (in brum) on Saturday. good times... the best times
My god, that day at Donnington was amazing. Free n' Easy was awsome too. W.A.S.P. was kickin', no idea why anyone thought otherwise, it was Thunder who should have been replaced, but ok by who? it was good for UK bands that day. Slayer were f'n wild with Jeff Hanneman first appearing in fat mode, but awsome anyway. Didn't like Skid Row at all though, but Maiden finished the day off well as they always do. Halcyon days alright. Miss them.... I had hair, and a trim belly :P

@ViddyKJB Fookin' right. What a way to open the show that day!! My friends wanted to wait for a friend before going in but me and another friend didn't want to miss these guys so ignored all the selfish bastards taunts and went in. So glad we did!!
