@Varinki Not uncommon for a 53 series. The V6 and V8s a governed @2800 RPM from the factory. The 53s were uncommon but they were made 2,3,4,6 and 8 cyl arrangements.

wanna start by sayin you truck is bad ass man and you got some skills i drove a 59 b-73 witha a 220 cummins and a tri plex with a 4 speed brownie and i was hooked on drivin twin sticks and three sticks but was wonderin what trans' are you usin im plannin on puttin a 453t in a 32 ford pickup i want twin sticks was thinkin a 5 speed mack and a 4 speed browning possably a tri plex or somthin but not sure how thats all gonna fit hah but if you wouldnt mind throwin some ideas that would be awsome

@bambam1370 two transmissions. up front you have a 5 speed sycronized transmission, and out back you have a 3 speed auxiliary. on todays trucks there are air shifters to do the work, all you do is press a button to change the auxilary
