  • at :34 is where I lost the front and flipped . Great track though.

  • @Marc329 Well at least it was a slow corner! Did you come out OK?

  • @rg500delta I twisted my foot pretty badly, no break. Was hobbling around for about 3 months. Could've been worse. When the bike and I slid off the track, the bike hit the curbing compressing the suspension and launched it in the air. I remember seeing flashes of it flipping above me as I rolled to a stop. The bike landed close to me but missed. Wrecked the bike pretty well but rebuilt it. TL1000R's are tanks.

  • rg500delta, your riding is cool, turns and stretches are pretty good. but some turns went wide. Everyone makes mistakes. And you could pass the other riders going wide on turns, but i didn't see you take one. Your lines and stretches gave me some tips before i ride my first 1997 RS250R. I will hit the track this december with it. By the way my age is 15+ and one expertise here sold me the bike that i only fit for right weight. Thanks for the tips and nice video.

  • it takes me a long time to learn a new track, I'm just not very good at that. This was my first time at Calabogie. I wish it were closer, it's a REALLY fun place and great for a nimble bike. The 250 can go almost anyplace on the track- you are not married to the "one line" - It was a trackday, so I tried to be very polite with passing. Watching my video is probably not a good place to look for riding tips!! LoL

  • @rg500delta All the same you're touring mate. It looks like you're lacking reference points and to be honest, there were cones on every corner so no excuses! It does look like a great track though, glad you're enjoying the bike as they don't come any better. :)

  • I'm looking and thinking on how are dangerous all that walls near the track... If you crash you hit them directly, because I think the grass doesn't even slows you down... Trackdays = safety first? Not seems... (sorry for bad english)

  • Hey, you know what, I never noticed them when I was there. They do look kind of close. I was just at Barber Motorsports park and the run-off room there was very generous. If you want to see close barriers, Heartland Park in Topeka really got my attention even when I was on the track. Yikes!

  • Is this a pukka RS 250 track bike or a road going RS250R ??

  • it's a track bike- see "video responses" above for a few pix of it- if I weren't such a fat ass (I am 200 lbs) the 600s would not blow me off so badly down the straight. For accel it's generally faster than the racebike sv650s, but slower than the R6s and gsxrs.

  • Im taking my 09 zx6r here when i get the chance, cant wait

  • Now the screen says Honda rs250. Okay now I know where your speed comes from. Good video good lines you go girl.

  • Hey mate- yep it's a 97 RS250R. problem is I'm 205 lbs so the poor thing has to drag my fast ass down the straights. You can see it doesn't give up TOO much ground to the 600s for acceleration, if I were 150 lbs it'd be as fast as any, I reckon. Front tire was cinched down for 3 days driving up there and got a bad flat spot, so the forks were jackhammering pretty badly in the sweepers. Spooky. We ran a bunch of 2:23s, not bad but not race pace. Do 2:20 with round tires, I suppose.

  • what 250 are you on in this video. i ran my rs250 aprilia at this track half a dozen times. horse power makes all the difference. Track days fuckin rock

  • Bella pista!

  • Oy! I've spooged me nickers!

  • More lines than British Telecom! You guys are like goldfish. It must be fun finding a new bit of track every lap! Keep it real.

  • LoL!! I have never heard that one before- ah well, first day at a new track. I don't think I had a single reference point by the end of day one- total chaos!

  • Although when you think about it, when we're going well off race pace, different bikes can have different ways round the same track- we could zig-zag, I guess, at trackday speed. I think if we sped up a few seconds, we'd end up closer- but I'm still not going to be on quite the same trajectory as a 140hp, 420 lb GSXR750.

  • haha lol

  • ahahha i hate 4 strokes

Great job man keep it real

  • 750 2 Stroke awesome ... great to hear and see them in action. I saw some nice ones at the Barry Sheene Memorial in Sydney.

    Cheers from

  • Very very nice dude I love it.

  • Phoar! Dear oh Dear 45bhp and like a rat up a drain pipe........Bloody right it would be frightening if he was on a gixxer 750...Nice video old lad ....got me going all the way

  • Very nice. I love the sound of a 250.

  • The guy on the Thumper (blue leathers) is keeping up with late-model 600s and 750s, advanced group, but he's on a 30 year old bike with bias-ply tires and packing about 45 HP. It's just sick. Thank god he doesn't ride a GSXR!
