  • god damn fat people & their heavy bags.

  • Averaging = rolling the dice

  • Well! I am a big fat ass here! I admit it... I would feel better if the airlines weigh our fat asses, before we got on a plane!

  • Fast Food American way of life should also be blamed and the arilines for accepting excesive luggage and overweight people who can put lives at risk. In Latinamerica we are heading for the same problem, people are getting heavier and airlines still think we weigh the same as back in 1930s. As usual, it is all for money and more money for shareholders.

Furthermore, the money making trend of all mighty structure of subcontracting everything, relieves companies from responsibility.

  • Aren't the luggage weighed at the airport before boarding?

  • That's what you get fat Americans!! STOP EATING!!!!!!!!!

  • Americans love Mickey Dee's eh?

  • she should have pulled the yoke all the way back and done a loop-de-loop

  • @pete5668 RISK- 350 mtrs above the ground you can crash after doing the loop AND commercial pilots aren't trained for loops.

  • Wrong Calculation the total is 17213 = 10613 + 3325 + 775 + 2500

    So Dumb...........

  • Fat people kills

  • the fat americans part got me

    ahhh

  • The total 17018 itself was a wrong calculation. Could you please add those five numbers (grade 3 students could laugh) before blaming anyone and finding scapegoats, 08:41

  • It's called a fucking 3 dollar calculator, that would have maybe changed the crash

  • it was a weigh problem stop blaming the guy... the plane flew NINE time with no problem... It was was weight...

  • God, that investigator chick is annoying. Couldn't they get a spokesperson that didn't sound like a 17-year-old valley girl?

  • The mechanics and the pilots didn't eat their Wheaties that day. The passengers ate too much Wheaties that day and were too heavy.

  • @pete5668 - i get the impression from this comment and ur other comments that u like wheaties

  • @Hobinator17 the breakfast of champions

  • Scary that these numbers had remained in use since 1936, and you know what they say about assumptions.

  • friking fat americans

  • unbelievable: these days they weight luggage, they easily can weight passengers while at security check, they can weight everything going to the aircraft including fuel and give that info to the pilot or make automatic calculations and raise an alert earlier knowing the aircraft max lift weight. And nothing is done. Just weird "average" values are used. wft?! the most sophisticated industry runs on paper and pen?

  • fat america contributed to this tragedy!

  • yeah, that's not mean at all. I'm not fat

  • lol

  • and it was 580 over its maximum weight

  • thy should have done all the steps instead of being lazy and skipping 9 steps

  • I was watching the first episode and I thought 2 myself, god they should ask the passengers to come to the cabin 2 help the nose come down!

  • We shouldn't let fat Americans board our planes! (:

  • 07:20 Yes, and if it had been revised, then the cables would've still been adjusted incorrectly?

  • january 8 2003 is the year it says at 8:36 - 8:38

  • i think this was about in 2000-2004

  • what year did this happen?

  • damn... that just shows that America has a weight problem.

  • You must be fat... sorry I understand.

  • I weigh 8 stone.

  • I agree. I think the producers could have been a little less tacky in reminding us of our weight issues. I'm overweight and even I think it would be most fair to weigh both the passengers and their bags together and establish surcharges - as long as it's done in a way that doesn't make public the person's weight. But I think your comment could have been made much more tactfully or avoided alltogether.

  • LOL
