  • Mine is only 6 months and six feet, i may be feeding too much.

  • @OblivionIce listen dont think all snakes will grow the same because they wont. mines is a male who grew at an average rate. yours probably has genetics that are on the larger side. if you're snake looks healthy than he is. period. i dont care how big or small. if he/she is at that perfect weight you have nothing to worry about. if its fat then you're feeding it too much. also note when you have a male and female of the same size the female will always be fatter.

  • Does it ever strike you?

  • @t3hfiasc0 nope. only when hungry he'll strike hoping im food. snakes bite first ask questions later. give them that respect and you wont have it choking you to death.

  • thanks for the advice, I decided to start with a ball python instead to get started.

  • THAT BURM IS NICE 1 YEAR OLD. IM THINKING OF GETTING ONE IT WILL BE MY FIRST SNAKE WHAT KIND OF EXPENSE AM I LOOKING AT AS FAR AS FEEDING A 1 YEAR OLD THAT'S THAT BIG?

  • @mrwilliamsway11 this is an average size for a yearling burmese python male or female. he was being fed rats once a week up until he was about 7feet. i put him on bunnies after that. bunnies are expensive. rodent pro seems to be the only company selling frozen rabbits online and they're expensive. i spent $150 just for four 10pound rabbits. if you can find a bunny seller at an expo it'll be waaay cheaper.

  • @mrwilliamsway11 Don't get a Burmese python for your first snake. You'll be one of those people that tries to get rid of it through an animal shelter when it's too big for you to take care of.

  • !!! thats one year!!!! WOW!! :)

  • @brit0147 thats actually an average size. theres another youtuber who had a 9ft female yearling.

  • nice burm man... drop by my channel and check out my albino... i subbed, sub me back thanks

  • Man nice video love seeing them grow i got a video of my 3 month old baby burmese cant wait till mine gets bigger.

  • show off jk...awesome snake brother.......thats pretty big for a one yr, how much do u feed him? i got some vids of my snakes check em out dude

  • @SICKDOG831 thanks. he's not pretty big for a 1yr old. he's average size. burms can be anywhere from 5-10ft by their 1st b-day. 6-7ft is an average yearling size for a burm. he was about 6.5ft or so in this vid.

  • I have a trip het norm male that has colors like that. You should breed that beaut I bet he proves out something. Nice snake.

  • r u sure he's just a normal?? i mean wow thats just an amazing color dude

  • @stripedcarpetRL yeah im sure. i wish he wasnt but i asked the breeder already. he was some young guy. his parents are just normals.

  • wow hes beautiful. really nice colors.

  • hey looks almost like a hypo have you ever bred him ?

  • @snewchybewchy no i havent. i asked the breeder what were the parents and he said they were just normals. not even het for albino. so i guess he just came out pretty. he was the lightest colored of his siblings which is why i chose him.

  • @drepop803 he is beautiful man ive got an african rock python just uploaded a video of her

  • thats another beautyful giant cuz.....

  • @SICKDOG831 thanks man. yeah he's gorgeous.

  • I created a site for reptile owners and lovers to interact, free subscription to the first 100 members. You can go to my youtube page to find the site or just go to showmyreptile com. Thanks!

  • hey bro, is it possible if you could help me get one of those?

  • wow! very lucky of you man! i 'll let you know once i already uploaded her video for you to see my pet too. i really can't wait to see her grow like that. i always watch your videos. are you planning to bread her?

  • @mohenhodaro he's a male. im not sure if im going to breed him yet. I'll have to be a home owner first.

  • my katrina is 6 months old and 5 feet long.she is in shed now.the last time she shed was feb.19,2011.is that a hypo het? how much did it cost you to get her?

  • @mohenhodaro no i get that alot. he's just a normal. i thought he was het too but i asked the breeder and he said both parents were normals(he owned them). i paid 50bucks.

  • can't wait to see mine grows that big.how long is she/he?

  • @mohenhodaro yeah its exciting watching them grow. now he's 10 1/2ft.

  • @drepop803 My Burmese Python is 1 month away from being 1 year old and he's only 5ft. Your a lucky man. Your snake looks great too btw.

  • @DeathMetal4Ever1 thanks man. he's turning 3 next month and he's 11n a half feet now.

  • i rescue alot of snake i always take in boas and pythons that are mistreated and i have a very agrrsive 9 ft female BCC x BCI but it isnt her fault she was left in a cold cage no lights no water and it was filled with algae and they left a live rat in there and it had pretty badly ripped the snake up on a lighter notes shes still agrrsive but all her wounds and scares are away and im working on taming her down a a littlle shes a great girla nd only strike as shes terrified or people

  • yea bud after i breed them ill make some bucks from them so they wil pay for them self lol so not to bad at the end of the day i saw your video of the retic now its bigger do you always raise your snake from babies

i dont do anything ut raise my own snakes so i know them deep down

  • @mikeybhoywan uh kind of. my male boa was 3wks old and my burm was a month. my retic was 4months old when i got him and the hypo boa was over a year old. the nicaraguan was an adult when i got him. but i see what you mean cuz the male boa and burm are closest to me cuz they were so young. my hypo was sort of a rescue so she's also close to me.

  • I just got my burm sunday night for 50 bucks and she is a little over 6 feet and just over a year old. She eats guinea pigs and large rats.

  • hey man, just to jet you know thats def not a burm. you have a retic. burms dont get the color and pattern that he has.

  • @Darkcloud373 LOL. i hope you're kidding. plz tell me you're joking.

  • @drepop803 its a burm dont worry

  • @c0rnmorphs oh im not lol.

  • @drepop803 thats a blonde burmese python buddy its a morph how much did you pay for her as shes probably worth £1200 or $1800

  • @mikeybhoywan nope sorry bud its a normal. i payed 50bucks. in person he's not as pretty as a blonde. he was the lightest colored of all his siblings which is why i chose him.

  • @drepop803 lucky guy i am buying a titanium burmese for $3000 bucks to breed with my albino het titanium

and im getting another purple albino tiger retic for $1500 so ill have a good breeding project going

  • @mikeybhoywan wow thats some good projects going on. i just love purple tigers. when i buy a house i'll get a nice female purple albino tiger.

  • @Darkcloud373 That's a Burmese retics are completely different

  • @Darkcloud373 lol, thats deff not a retic noob haha

  • @Darkcloud373 I really hope your joking. That is with out a doubt a berm. Retics don't even look close to that. They have more of a diamond pattern. and much darker for the most part.

  • beautiful color...check mine out. but that vid was at 3 months. he hasnt grown that much i need to know if its the environment or my feeding habits??? i mouse per week, and lives in a 10 gal tank

  • @o4scarface its not the tank its the mice. switch him to rats and watch him grow asap. i promise.

  • oh my god...its so big. it looks cool. how long do they live? and....do they bite?

  • @BelizeansRpretty yeah they're beautiful animals. if well cared for they can live up to 25years. and well any animal with teeth can bite lol. if socialized around ppl no they most likely will NOT bite. they tame very easily.

  • O_O damn....note to self, Don't buy a burmese or reticulated python lol

  • @Fourteen88SoCal lolol. each snake will grow differently. ive seen yearling burms at 5ft and seen them as big as 9ft.

  • @drepop803 lol so crazy....Currently my Brazilian rainbow boa is only about 2' long, she's still just a baby =), but you definitely have some beautiful snakes my friend!

  • @Fourteen88SoCal thanks man i appreciate that.

  • What's the mininum cage size for an adult burm?

  • great burm, what size enclosure do u keep him in?

  • ok well when i try that he will not eat

  • well i feed him once every other week bc my mom gets off on Saturday then i have to wait 2 other saturdays to feed him again is it ok if i can do that?

  • @lox477 well remember babies always need to eat more. when we're babies we're fed everytime we wake up. puppies need to eat 3-4 times a day whereas adults only once or twice. same as snakes. baby snakes should be fed 5-7days until they reach a year old.

  • hey mine is 4 months old and he is 2 3/4 is it ok if he is that size ?

  • @lox477 sure. not all will grow the same. just make sure he's fed rats or baby bunnies every 7days.

  • I love how bright colors this individual has and i love also that this individual has some greenish color also in it's back.

  • is this guy on rabbits or jumbo rats?

  • @oswhiteboymc at the time of this vid he was on jumbo's. now he's on 2pound rabbits.

  • Beautiful burm man love the colors.

  • dude thatis a awesome burmese im getting one for christmas either a granite albino or normal

  • beautiful snake! that's a big 1 year old!!

  • thanks. theres another guy on youtube that has/had a 9ft one year old. it was a female.

  • wow! beautiful snake. I can't wait untill I get my male burm. looks like they grow pritty quick since that is just a year old. :-)

  • yeah they grow pretty quick but there docile and easy going.

  • gosh she is getin big as a btich man you should do another snake room tour

  • nice burm m8, i have a boa atm am wanting to get into eava retics or burms but realy am not sure as ive heard they can be very aggressive, whats your forts on this

  • they're just as tame as boas. it depends on you. i show no fear of them and handle them atleast 2times a week. if they're still nervous then id do 3times. retics are a lil more challenging then burms cuz they're more active and seem to think more. id recomend a burm since they're slow moving and seem more calmer and less active. as babies both can be very defensive. go with a burm, they're just easier to care for.

  • i agree my burms is just as tame as my boa i do daily handeling and they get very tame and have even no problems being held right after being fed but still dont reccomend doing that because they could regurge

  • Retics are in a different league to burms. I agree burms are just as tame as boas but as long as you put the time in to work with them. Retics are naturally more nervous and defensive than burms and also alot more intelligent and powerful. Go with a burm if anything a male and if you do ok a retic is the next big step.

  • What is his feeding schedul?

I have a male normal who is either a May or june 08 and he is about half that size.

  • i feed him weekly. usually a large rat. or 1large & an extra med if he's still hungry. but the problem with him is he's always hungry lol. he's actually average length for a yearling. usally burms are from 5-7ft their 1st year.

  • Well mine had a mite problem as a baby and didn't eat for 2 months, and i wasn't feeding him big enough food so tht is probably why.

  • Yea when they have a mite problem they usually wont eat/eat as much even if they are a burm. You watch your burm will have a huge growth spurt out of no where usually in the 2nd year. I have a male around 3years old who is 11ft and i had the same concerns as you but hes doing fine and eating xxl rabbits : )
