The soundtrack here, of course, has nothing to do with Lehar or Tauber!

Tauber found this melody in another work by Lehar and encouraged him to incorporate it in Land of Smiles when they were working together on the score in Bad Ischl in August 1929. It was their biggest hit.
This facsimile dedication was included in early printed scores and sheet music.
