@PlayerTech For some things and some people yea. Preferences can be made due to looks (i love this one), how comfortable it is to use, and ofcourse how you like the whole set up. Personally id love the many keys on the G13 but i find that a lot of them are placed so that you rarely use them due to the "wasd" placing....But yea...For some things like a strategy game where you need a hell of a lot of hot keys G13 is the way to go, but i find that for MMORPGs and shooters the belkin is faster.

Really is a good gadget guys. I own it and the G13. N52 is goo, but lack of keys become apparent in higher classes in WoW. Nonpet classes you should squeeze through, but pet classes (hunter, warlock) it's a mandatory you get g13. Unless you want to click your pet commands your n52 should be binded completely by lvl 60.

.well, im using n52te for almost 2 years...mainly for WoW..now for BC2..tried to use it for SC2 beta, buuuuuut depends on race, it's too much macros..

.. overall it's kick ass gadget, i don't regret a penny i paid for it..

. .and yes, if you get used to it, using keyboard is HARD times ^^

The G13 is more comfortable in my opinion (plus it has more keys which is good if you play mmorpg's, but not necessary for fps's). I have really long fingers so if I have my palm all the way against the curve (which is the only way it feels right to me) I have to practically curl my fingers up to hit the keys on the Belkin (which then makes it really uncomfortable).

On the G13 you can pretty much put your hand anywhere because it isn't specifically formed to your palm, it's more of a wrist pad.

So wrong, I have both, after ages of play the Belkin is the one that stays comfortable, more ergonomic.

Personally I hate having extra little screens, if youre serious about FPSs Razer and Razer powered products are the only real option. They reflect far more subtle insights in gamers needs.

Time spent looking at little displays is time not looking at your screen. The only use I can see for such gimmicky add-ons are for mmorpgs where having something to distract from the game is essential.

If you plan on using the Dpad on this thing for moving, I would advise against getting the TE. The diagonal axis on the item is screwed up big time.

Its for left handed keyboard player and the mouse in right hand, if you use a left handed mouse this may be awkward to use infact probably ono more awkward than using keyboard with right hand but you wouldnt be able to use the space bar or d pad.

U still need to use your mouse to move the cursor around the screen. Its only meant to replace the keyboard not mouse, i use 64bit TYETREE uses 32bit so you should be ok with either.

That's exacly how I use it, for several years now (Talking about the old models too) with the "Spacebar" or "Jump" on the top of the D-pad, and the "C" Key (Or Crouch) on the bottom of the D-pad. The 15th button, for changing layers (or keymaps)

Thats how i do it too, little round button jump, d pad left crouch, dpad down prone. The space bar isnt in a nice position they need to change that for sure if they make another version of it. I wonder why it wasnt altered from the n52 to the n52te surly they must realise it isnt right where it is?

I want one of these things now. They look mighty sweet for mmo's which i play and also standard rpgs like Never Winter Knights. I like the fact it has tones of customizable buttons as I have the Logitech G15 revision 2 keyboard and if i had known there was an earlier version i would have got that one with the more macro keys on. But hey it's still a good board i just need this to bolster my macro keys up.

I've messed with the original N52 pad. didn't even light up back in the day. was bright orange and silver smoke color. pretty cool though. get two of them and perfect using two computers at once lol.
