This game teaches you a lot... about British culture, customs, various mannerisms. I enjoyed just walking through the gallery just to what Sherlock had to say about the various works of art.

But DAMN this game is HARD!

If you want to read the Arsene Lupin books in English I recommend that you google "Gutenberg Project" and search for the author Maurice Leblanc. Some Arsene Lupin books have been uploaded there as well as a lot of other books no longer protected by copyright...

Absolutely, the maps are great so you don't have to run around too much! and it takes you to some interesting places in old London, The dialogue is well done and funny in places!

I'd like to inform people from USA and Canada that understand French that they can download and read the Arsène Lupin books on ebooksgratuits . com The only thing is that while the author's rights for this book have expired in Canada for the whole collection, in the USA, until 2019, all Leblanc's books published after 1923 are still copyrighted. That still allows you to read about half of the series for free and see if you like it.

If you do enjoy Holmes story I suggest you give it a try! :)

Everyone knows who Sherlock Holmes is. I've only just now discovered the existence of Arsene Lupin. It's clear who's the more legendary character.

It's fiendishly difficult to find Lupin novels/comics/movies in English, so unless your French Immersion teacher had a thing for gentlemen thieves in opera capes, of course you'd never know he existed. The only reason more people have heard of Sherock Holmes is that *his* nation of origin had a globe-spanning empire at the height of his popularity, which meant that he was read every place the English flag flew.

Holmes no doubt. I learnt about Arsene Lupin from the italian comic master Don Rosa who used a character similar to lupin in one of his best stories(The Black Knight, The Black Knight strikes again). The characters name is Arpen Lusen...!

Actually Lupin can and does. I have read Maurice Leblanc's original book: Arsene Lupin vs Sherlock Holmes. Leblanc presents Holmes perhaps in a somewhat darker light, but he truly brings out thee brilliancy in the detective second to only Doyle himself. You also feel that Holmes and Lupin could have been friends under different circumstances.
