  • The bottom of the pressure cooker is black. The reflected light is so bright you always get some reflection...

    You should paint the bottom of the pressure pan of black.

  • How many minutes did it take to get boiled? I heard without the pressure one, it takes like an hour to boil water?

  • It all depends on the time of day. In Townsville 19 degrees south of equator it takes about the same time to cook/boil as it does on a propane stove if utilised in the middle of the day (11am-2pm) things obviously slow down either side of this, would be more efficient and quicker if the top and sides of preasure cooker were well insulated and if the mirror was a true mirror...     I had review a casestudy in indonesia which is basically on the equator but without pressure cooker, and it was roughly 50 mins.

  • It all depends on how much water the pressure cooker contains. How much potatoes or other contents and how cold they are to start with. It also depends on the area of the mirror that you are reflecting light to one place from. I use a 1.2 square meter reflector with this cooker. I will have to time it for you with a set weight of potatoes and water and I will let you know...Cheers.. M

  • Al Gore would be proud. Seriously, if that isn't sticking-it to the oil barons & the natural gas czars I don't know what would. It's hobbiests like you that're the real innovators of change. Man, that light is bright and white hot! I expect that the cook or the persons keeping their eyes on the process needs to wear a good pair of shades or else risk temporary to severe blindness. Also, such a reflection unhindered might blind an airline pilot who just happened to look down at the wrong moment.

  • Many people don't know of the pressure-cooking timetables you can cook a ROAST with gravy or a stew to where it can be cut with a fork under an hour. I cook spaghetti 15 min. Sure you can use a box oven to me it is not considered safe for $meats you get some clouding and food can spoil that is not green if you producing dog food for supper. Box ovens are for good sun days and best for vegetables potatoes rice are staples using a box oven you reduce the meat you will eat that is green.Great video
