  • I've been personally in Takarazuka Theater (in Takarazuka) and I saw as many men as women in the public. Why people (wathever man or woman) are attracted to this kind of performances? Because they ARE beautiful and the actresses are all graduated from one of the best acting schools in japan.

  • Yes, so des!!

  • *giggle* I cracked up at how they're talking about "all the different" kinds of Takarazuka plays, and then just showed different shots from the same one!

  • hey it´s interesting to hear about this art of theater! I heard of Matsubayashi...is it nearly the same?

  • Well, as far as I know the Matsubayashi exists only in this one movie. The name was created because the film makers weren't allowed to use Takarazuka's name. There used to be quite a few girls' revues in Japan, though today TCA definitly is the biggest and best known one by far.

  • No! Matsubayashi is karate.

  • what's matsubayashi?
