  • I come here every day for my hero fix... you are my hero... smiles and thanks... this is still the best Lancer video ever.... smiles... JVD

  • In one clip Barranca has a white star on his face but in another the white is missing. Probably used at least three horses, very common colour for Westerns from that era. Anyway this bit of trivia adds to the James Stacey story. Damn good rider anyway.

  • They do use more than one horse for him, no question of it.

  • His smile melts your heart.

  • I agree with Sharibelle. I had huge crushes on them both too. They are both in my heart forever also and I so enjoy watching them now. I cannot believe that it was so long ago........

  • Now THAT is what a hero looks like!! Johnny has always been my hero!

  • One of my favorite videos and the song is one of favorites as well.

  • Happy birthday James for today 23/12/2010 and have a great Christmas and New Year as well

  • Love this one, this is probably my favorite vid out there!

  • What movie, TV show is this?

  • Very cool! Thanks for the smiles and memories. I have to laugh just a little at how that song works equally well for Johnny Madrid Lancer and Shrek. My goodness, James Stacy was a thing of beauty. And you are right, Sharibelle, he will always be loved and remembered, no matter what. I'd love these on DVD. By the way - I have one son and because there was a bad relationship with a "john", I still paid my dues. My son is named Scott Lancer. No, I'm not kidding.

  • If the whole series was released on DVD , it would be a sell out. Does anyone out there know why Lancer is still not digitally remastered for DVD. What a fabulous guy James was. Thank you so much JML - do you realise the great pleasure you bring to people like me by all your hard work and recordings.

  • I don't care how many times I watch this video....I just can't seem to get enough of Johnny.....He is so cool!!! :-) . The song and the clips are such a perfect fit! I wish you would put on some more JML!

  • To agiliitybld Re the Horse. Yes he changes legs in canter, also I think if you look very closely they use more than one Barranca, one has no breast plate at all and is I think a darker palamino. You need to look at the clip several times. What a shame that Lancer is one of the few western series not released on DVD considering its popularity. I assume there must be copyright reasons.

  • Thank you for this tribute. As an admirer of Jim Stacy's acting ability, and also of his courage following his horrible accident, I applaud you for what you have done in his behalf. I am finding more and more people who share our view of him.

  • It would be great to get the Lancer series on DVD, It would also be nice to be able to get a copy of Just A Little Inconvenience. There are two actors that I think are the most gorgeous men I have ever see .. James Stacy and Don Jonson.

Lately, I can't stop thinking about James Stacy. I love this video. Thanks.

  • Much love..... The wink did it again for me! ...

  • Happy Birthday Jim. I have always loved you and I always will. May you have a wonderful day with your friends and family. Shirley

  • Hi James.I love you to bits and wish you a very happy birthday for today the 23rd.

  • Wonderful tribute!

I only wish guys nowadays looked as handsome as he did!

  • I wish I could tell him that I had a crush on him and Pete Duel both when I was a young girl and I still love them both and i am sorry that James was injured and had a rough life since and I am sorry that Pete died. They are both in my hearts forever. Hang in there James - you are still loved and remembered!

  • @sharibelle1999 I also admire both the same two men, and from a very young age, when Lancer was on. Pete Duel was such a sad loss. I've had losses from suicide in my life, very close, and the loss never quite leaves you.

And yes, Mr. Stacy, you are very much loved and remembered! You are one of the people in life that I'd always wished that I could have the privilege to meet.I wish you well, and hope that you are happy and content in your life.

  • @Ariana5511 Somehow I don't think that my posting ID was supposed to combine itself with Sharibelle's :)

  • Ariana5511 Somehow, below, my posting ID has combined with Sharibelle1999s I'm not quite certain how I managed to do that! :)

  • Will they ever release Lancer on DVD - there is no reason why not as more and more westerns ftom that era are being digitally remastered.

  • There is a petition being organised on one of the Lancer web sites to get the series released on dvd

  • What a stunning looking actor, I had forgotten just how dishy he was. Times has aged us all, he must be iun his seventies now. Does anyone know what he is doing these days?

  • Thank you. James S. was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident. Lost an arm and a leg. I have his most recent movie as he appeared with the crutch. It a western was called "Posse" with Kirk Douglas and Bruce Dern as the bad guy.

  • FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!

Can I get a copy of it please?

  • I know exactly what you mean. Keep smiling.

  • I also meant to say, whenever Johnny smiles that smile (you all know what I mean) I instinctively smile back. Silly? I don't think so.

  • Johnny Madrid Lancer has been my hero since I first watched him in the 60's. Thanks so very much for all the wonderful YouTube clips. This one blows me away. Thanks again.

  • You Tube clips is what you are seeing. I considered one of the greatest episodes ever on TV was called "Murdocks Birthday" and it was about Johnny trying to find one of '73 Winchester Rifles that said "One of 1,000". He found it. See the show and feel your heart pound.. Milbourne

  • Thanks jmllover for making all of your videos and I very much agree with jsfanforlife..feel the same too!

  • Have added this clip to my favourites at work, so I can cheer myself up on a dull day in the office! May have to explain to boss why I now sit and smile dreamily at my PC! Johnny Lancer - can't be improved, can he? Thanks, jmllover, you've made my working day bearable!

  • I loved this music vid. Well put together! :o)

  • No one I know remembers Lancer at all. They probably never saw the show because when you Johnny, you never forget him! Baby-faced and Hot all rolled into one. And the smile!!!

  • I have a new fantasy man to go with my favorite fantasy song...Thanks!!!

  • I have loved this man forever! How very beautiful he is . . . Be still my heart!

  • Ok I've already commented on this GREAT one, but a couple of "horse" related things come to. Did any of you seen the lead change on Barranca before Johnny picked up whatever was on the ground. Also I have noticed the bridles are different on the horses as well as come wears a breast strap & the other doesn't. Sorry, this isn't directed a JMLlover but maybe someone else "horsey" could respond to me on this one.

Thanks AGAIN for thses wonderful videos.

  • Oooooo after midnight, My wildest fantasy...... that about covers it alright.

  • Awesome!!!! He was and always will be my number one hero!!!! Keep them coming! Thank you!

  • Please MORE, MORE, MORE!

  • This is absolutely fantastic, MORE! MORE! MORE! of the same please.
