I wanted to check out the HT-40 used for metal and this is definitely one of the best ones. Very good music. Are you using a booster pedal or is it just straight?
Getting my Blackstar Ht Club 40 week, cant wait....You sound incredible, the heaviness ....everything sound unbelievably awesome!I would buy your cd.Thumbs up bro!
@utubvid1 hey. thanks allot! i've got some new music to upload to here in the next week or so and then recording an album over the summer. enjoy your blackstar! cheers
@JasonElGato thanks Jason...i'm working on it and have some new music to be uploaded within the next couple of weeks...using the same gear from this vid. thanks for your comment :)
just bought same amp, and goofing off looking for more reviews on the thing, came upon ur vid,
man...i don't know who u r, but you keep this up and in a few years your name will be on the lips of everyone who loves this type of music. could'nt help think petrucci meshugga and andy james all at the same time. i know, might not be whats in ur head, but i am very happy i stumbled on to this vid. btw very tasty tone, exactly what i am looking for, hence the purchass. thnx.
@xboxemo360 hey thanks mate! all of those are influences for me so thankyou...new tunes will be uploaded very soon...all recorded with this amp and guitar. cheers
@PennGR thanks mate. it's all d.i.'d straight from the amp...it has a speaker emulated output which makes recording straight forward if you have neighbours! cheers
This song is amazing dude I've listened to this alteast ten times. What tuning is your guitar in i'm guessing between Drop D, C or B? Anway I'm getting the schecter damien 6 will it sound good with this amp? My old amp blew out on stage so I'm in need of a better, long last, reasonable priced amp. I'll spend atleast 250 to 400 dollars. Oh! And I play metacore, post hardcore, and alternative sometimes. Any other suggestions would be great as well. :)
@ghostface185 thanks allot mate. it's standard tuning for 7 strings - B E A D G B E. i've not played a damian 6 but i've no doubt it's a good combination to play metal. will you post a vid when you have your new amp?
Amazing song and interesting solos, it reminds me to Allan Holdsworth in some parts. By the way I have the same guitar too (schecter Demon 7) with TOM bridge and it sounds really incredible. Cheers from Chile!
@gjbmusic I have a Roland JC-160 and a Peavey Audition 110, both are very old but still sound good. I use the Roland on recordings and sometimes in live performances and the Peavey on rehearsals in my house. HT 40 is a great temptation but i need to save a lot of money to buy it, i hope it will be soon...
Wow man you are a very creative player, are you doing alot of improvisation in the solo sections or is it written out? Either way would be extremely impressive, I just cant tell which?
@Landitty hey thanks!...i'm mostly improvising but i'm very familiar with the shapes i'm using...and i went round the track a few times and kind of got used to what i would do when i hit record. thanks mate.
Very Cool man, Im a professional jazz & progressive rock guitarist and it sounds to me like you have a lot of different influences in your playing. That's quite a intense chord progression in the beginning, made my knees shake... All I could tell was that it was like C, Db/C, B, then D, but I couldn't tell what the chord qualities were... Well regardless, that was a very harmonically advanced but tasteful solo, keep it up I'm impressed.!
@mrmanynotes thanks mate!...i can't remember exactly but i would say a pretty flat eq with some bass rolled off, OD channel 2 with the gain at about 1 o'clock and a touch of reverb...you don't have to spend too long to get a good sound with this amp!...there's also a bit of delay added at the mixing stage. cheers
I really like it, it reminds me of Meshuggah a lot. How did you record it? I'm a guitarist (found your video when searching for demos of 7 string guitars) and I've been wondering how people record for a long while.
What hardware and programs did you use to make this?
@MrUberAnarchist hi and thanks! this was recorded on a korg d12...just a digital 12 track device and used a very old drum machine!...I've just updated my equip so now i record on computer using cubase 5 and my drums are done with superior drummer 2.0...but i think if you know your gear you will get a good sound. cheers
@hobbesismycat hi. the recording unit is a korg d12. i'm not sure if they are still made - i got mine in 2001. i now record on computer which i find far quicker and not too much more expensive, depending on your setup. cheers
@DrPoca no this is just the amp on it's stock OD channel D.I.'d into my recording unit via the speaker emulated output...there is a bit of delayed added on the rec unit tho and some eqing when it was mixed. Cheers!

@74quez3 hi. thanks. no booster pedal used here. just guitar>amp>recording unit...it's a really versatile amp.
