i was going to build a prison colony but finding it easier to convert a stable island slowly to that, trying to build one from the start everyone will kick el presidentes ass, the population must 1rst being subdued/controlled with mass propaganda and militia before allowing their island to be turned into guantanamo bay.so tear down those tenaments and replace them with prisons i always say.if you only pay the gaurds $5 then each prison can generate about $400 a year under convict labor system

@bigboizism been a long time since i played but i think u right click on the prison to begin with, then a window comes up and theres a box u check called convict labor , the other box is something like reeducation which raises the respect of that citizen and is also the reason i put my prisons right next to my schools because its like a school, only harder. i have a video on my channel that explains it better and when to reeducate someone

On greed, I have an army of 2000 and a rebelion of 500. I over load the game (Xbox) by selecting a building, then moveing away from it. I spam the ammount of soilders and garud stations as well. Then, I kill alot of poor pepole as they come off the ship in a huge Line. The rebels spawn on the beach, They rush up the hill and its a full head on Rebel VS Army fire fight. No One Line Shit. A huge Mob VS Mob. I wish i could make a video of that save.... Dose anyone know how to record Xbox to PC???

The combat's so anti climactic, especially with the super powers...

I built up about 6 armouries, 4 army bases and a bunch of guard stations, all full of soldiers, and then pissed off the USA hoping to have a huge armed confrontation...

All i got was "the USA has raped your island, game over"

@franka64 well yes it is unfair in ways like that but a tiny island of below 500 people(guessing) against a super power vs tiny tiny Caribbean nation you would lose anyways, but yes it would be nice to see the US to actually invade :(

I mean, I know that one little island can't possibly win against a country with about 1,000,000 soldiers, but the game should at least give you the opportunity to have a huge war ... if only to see how long and well your army could hold up against a superpower before they have to resort to bombing runs.

Here's hoping for that to be a feature in Tropico 4!

The combat system in this game is so busted. You can't control your soldiers or El presidente in any way, so all you can do is watch rebels blowing up your farms and nonloyal militarists blow up your palace >:(

@MrMustang13 Yes and no. Yes, they can attack you if you piss them off too much, but no you don't get to actually see their soldiers landing on your shores and your troops fighting them or whatever. It's pretty much just "The US/USSR has invaded! Game over."

I've got like 50 army bases. 95 % of the whole population are soldiers with Spec-Ops training and the rest are rebels. I love it when they strike >:D

How large an army can you have and in the xbox demo how do you make immigrants go to work at certain places they come on the island and they go where they want so i made all these buildings and they all were empty please help I just want a tropican superpower like anyone does.

on XBOX second chance-u dont want to build too much too fast- take those refugees as they come-they need 1 tenemant (and maybe a couple bunk houses) and they need about 2 loging camps, u watch the camps- the camps fill up then u build more like that but give them a pub and give them free rent maybe a church, until you build 2 army bases and import 6 generals then make gaurd towers and pay your troops 40. but only pay your workers like 3. the troops will "deal" with them til 1970 when it ends

Well you can control your president and walk around actually. But yeah you can't do all the building, and etc. when you're controlling him. You can go back to him whenever though.
