ive been in a troupe 4 8 years. nearly nine. that was like the 4th move i learnt ain i was 5 at the time. This is so easy they didnt even have to teach me it i learnt it myself. I want a routine to be taught for my pairs comp next week but no one has any good routines. only these stupid demos on how to do chop or do figure of 8.
This has to be one of the worst teachers I have ever seen in my life. I'm a Junior Instructor and I have seen novice twirlers do these horizontal finger twirls better than you. I happen to be an advanced twirler and I learned this trick in my first couple months of twirling. You don't need to be tweaching anyone how to twirl if you can't twirl yourself. It seems like you have never gotten past the novice level of twirling, and if you have, I would love to see you ACTUALLY twirl.

Oh and i forgot im going to nationals this year and i skipped a whole level and this is only my second year of twirling and im starting to work on 3 spins and that us pretty impressive
Woww i learned this in the second level and i learned this the first week in pricate and u do like a corkscrew up not just flip duhh a thumb toss is more advanced than this ! I consider a 4 spin advancedni must be as goid as savanah miller if this is advanced
If she's an expert I must be a worlc champion because that was nowhere near expert level. You don't bend when twirling through your fingers. And the way you've just shown everyone is not the correct way you have to go into fingers by doing a horizontal or platters not by placing it inbetween your fingers. And you go through all 5 fingers and then move up not two and then do it! Oh and your leg is nowhere near straight!
What? That's a bad way to teach someone to cheat finger twirls. And considering this is "advanced" I'd rather have learned how to do something impressing...I've learned nothing here. I'd use something like the cheater twirls to prep for something like horizontal finger twirls with a left illusion....and that's hardly a novice trick.
What the hell? I learned this my first year of twirling? and the posture sucks!! i have beed twirling for 7 years and thats what they tell you NOT to do! ur supposed to not look like an idiot. HORRIBLE!
im sorry but i was looking for cool moves for a routine that i need to make upand i learned this my first day of baton and i have been twirling for 10 years im sorry :/
my question is if you all are such wonderful baton twirlers why are you watching a series for beginners LIKE ME? i'm a freshman in in high school and i did colorguad this year, but next year i might try majorette. at least i appreciate these videos so i can learn the basics
@pink4me7 you know what it is kind of stupid im watching these videos. i really dont know why i am. but if you wanna make the majorette team, don't learn from this lady. she cant teach and her technique is all wrong.
i this is not advanced im 13 and have been takeing twirling 4 about 8 years and this is the kind of stuff u learn in ur first class advanced is 2 turn dives and 5 turns which is what im working on but i wouldnt make a video of that stuff b/c i wouldnt want people 2 go out a hurt themselves:)lol that wouldnt b good
some one needs to post a beter instructional video than this.
1st Keep It Flat
2ed at least lundgeing would be better than just bending down.
3ed There is a Big difference of Beginer and advanced, Fugimies and elbo fish tails are more advanced than horizontical two finger, its not really a series. Let alone advanced.
@BobbyCat2010 ....just fishtails alone are harder than tht...this was awful to watch...im a twirler and have been for awhile and i completely agree with u.....and these are called split fingers.......i learned this when i was 5
it's not that we're being too critical but personally i want a new twirler to do it the RIGTH way.... why learn something the wrong way then have to re-learn it again right? answer me that.
I knew how to do this the first time I picked up a baton! You need to learn the difference between BEGINNER and ADVANCED!!
You cannot teach that of which you do not know!!
*TERRIBLE posture!!!
*This trick is supposed to be exectuted as sharply as possible!!
*As a judge, my suggestion to thos who are trying to learn this... DON'T bend on this trick, it looks HORRIBLE! Keep in the upright position, it looks a million times better!!!
i agree with you totally. i twirl for Rob Tocci. He said don't bend doing this trick when i fiirst started twirling and that was 6 years ago this is the easiest trick in the world!!!! beginner learning!! NOT advanced.
The ends of the baton are not called the head and the toe, they are called the ball and the tip. And to execute this trick bending down is not necessary. Infact judges will lower your score if you do in in competition
I just started twirling again after 6 years and this skill was on my beginners' sheet. : (
