Does anybody know where you can buy Satin Ice Fondant? :) The only fondant i can find is Wilton brand and it doesnt taste that good and its hard to use. can you find it at a store or do you have to order it online? Thanks! :)
@xxxgracexxx111 Maybe you're rolling the fondant to thin or adding too much coloring which gives the fondant moisture and makes it sticky you could try to knit the fondant with more powder sugar and see if it stiffens a little hope this helps :)
@natali20023 You can make your own powdered sugar. My food processor book recommends it and the sugar wiil be 100% pure. If you buy the 10X or confectioners sugar in the supermarkets it may contain cornstarch and anti-caking agents .
@uborrowmycar 1. For each cup of confectioner's sugar: Add one cup of regular granulated sugar to the blender. 2. Blend (pulse) until it turns to powder.
Tips: 1. A coffee grinder, spice grinder or small mini-processor works as well, for small amounts. 2. The sugar crystals can scratch plastic, so consider carefully before making in a plastic blender or processor.

@brockjamesandgingaa NOOO, you don't want to use flour. In any kind of rolling you want to stick with what the item is made of. So if it's biscuits or pie crust...Yes use flour. But in this case use what it is made of...which is sugar. I bake also, that's why I answered your question. Take Care.
@tracylane45 Ivory Satin Ice fondant (Pareve)- sugar ,corn syrup, modified food starch, water, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, artificial flavor, gum tragacanth, glycerine, acetic acid, potassium sorbate, titanium dioxide, cellulose gum. These are the ingredients in the fondant. If he says NOT to use cornstarch I would take certainly take his word for it. You can make your own powdered sugar yourself so you know it's pure.
@dbi1036 it tastes horrible or maybe that's just me. You sacrifice taste for looks. It's ultra sweet like a generic taffy candy with no flavor like those after dinner mints without the mint flavor.
the way hes saying 'fondont' is cracking me up

how do you make it homemade?

You can use marshmallows and powdered sugar. I like it better homemade because the tubs of fondant taste chemically bound to me.
