I figured as much but school kept me from watching every ep at the time, and most retail stopped having a wide slection of DVD sets, I only have the first season. Looks like Bruce had one up on Superman there, he was always detached from humanity more often than the others, but the losing your parents like he did would likely do that to anyone. I think it's been used a couple times in the Animated Series, other than here (not sure about the animated origin), so it's possible he mentioned to someone somewhere and it became a known line of his. Or it's a coincidence.
