It's a combination of blues and jazz, everything Stevie did was mainly blues and that is also here, but you can also hear his jazz influences as Kenny Burell, Wes Montgomery, especially in the jazzy type tone, chords and licks.

@bronff As the others said , its cool jazz blues. Other examples of this style as well as Kenny Burrell are Grant Green, and early George Benson. SRV was also fan of those players . When an interviewer remarked that his song "Gone Home" (Soul To Soul album) sounded like early George Benson , Stevie responded - "Hey ,Thank you !!"

@bronff Jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell was a big influence on Stevie. If Stevie had lived, I've often wondered where he would have taken his music because he really was quite versatile, as this jazz piece illustrates.
