Our monetary system is based on credit or debt, and without constantly continuing issuance of debt, the whole thing falls apart. Our system of ‘fractional reserve banking’ gives commercial banks a licence to literally create money out of thin air – and then charge interest on the money they created. Fractional reserve banking is the cause of spiralling debt.
A biggest public campaign has started to abolish fractional reserve system. Visit POSITIVE MONEY website and support the campaign.
I used to love to listen to you but this is a total crap.
Did you go not only to ride on trans Siberian train but also to Moscow school of economics??
Wake up the future is great and USA will live the best times ever. . There are 12500 millionaires in the world more than 5500 are in USA, out of 7 billion people this is pure awesome
@wmumart he is saying this because it is a fraudulent market...(and he is covering his ass so people dont hate him- yes there is crap in this) ..... is that really your idea of pure awesome?- i would hate to see your idea of world poverty. I am guessing you are one of these well to do people...good for you...please don't live in denial and help those who you can.
I am not in the position to brag about my wealth, If I told you the truth, well..
World is the way it is, bad part is that those who get the vote of needy do nothing to0 help them, Democrats basically did created the poverty in USA. Now Clinton Gore O Bama did destroy all the wealth minorities had, and the worst Republicans do get the blame.
Thanks to Regan and his wisdom we had 90 teis and Clinton is getting credit, yes he did not destroyed all.
He had his nose against the window, yes he was right about the criss, same time at the moment he said that it was already to late. The rich did already sail to safety and rest of us , we we got fucked.
Yers I love America, I was very successful and lost all, it does not matter, I can do it again, I know how, there is no better place than USA.
Toni is always working hard to be politically correct, because the people who attend seminars are in majority ripping the benefits from USA
Same time most of them have no clue what the world is about, they do not understand how business works, why O Bama is screwing them , why the world envy and love America, so they do attack capitalism, globalism because they do not have a clue .
I love Toni for his ability to motivate, to inspire, NLP, and few other things.
I feel bad for him, I know he hates his dual personality, he choose stick with money not with truth
If you want someone who really knew what was coming long ago not all the latecomers to the economic collapse predictors, then watch Petr Schiff. His record is readily available on the internet.
two sides of the coin... the wealthy bankers have millions of empty houses , and many squatters are allowed. internationally. but this guy (the banker) wont lower his price or provide livable wages. that big bulge in the snake- it's the same guy.
If this had been posted back in 1999 it may have been insightful to some degree.
But posting this in 2010 qualifies Robbins for the title of 'Captain Hindsight'.
What's going on is that the Wealthy (the owners of this world - the people controlling the Corporations/Banks/Military) have everything finally in place to TAKE TOTAL CONTROL. That pesky U.S. Constitution is about to go extinct.
Consumer spending is zilch compared to what the top 1% spend. U r now a slave.
@nsaminder The bottom line is that far, far, too few have far, far, too much and far, far, too many have far, far too little or too less. Until that changes, the economy will never really pick back up like it once was before. There is no way in the world you can create wealth in any society when huge a disproportionate amount of the accumulated wealth of a society is being horded by the people at the very top. That is not sustainable and eventually their will be a correction and it will crash!
Right: economic cycles repeat so after an up-turn and higher market liquidity, this is always followed by a tightening of liquidity / credit / money supply / interest rates. The timing of this is hard to predict unless you are an insider.
Wrong: consumers do not control market liquidity and prosperity--the creators / controllers / operators / owners of the economic / monetary system have this control and determine when economic cycles change direction.
@oldspammer Conspiratorial nature of history is probably the accurate one to study because it is human nature to form groups and make plots to win the game--this is seen all of the time on TV reality game shows like Survivor. Many of the losers never know that these plots against them were hatched in secret.
It is not logical to think that smarter people do not also form groups and plans for the future--what do the scholarly think tanks do for the elite?
@oldspammer The spread of disinformation plays a role. If there were no secrets in the world, there would be better planning and cooperation and benefits like population reduction would happen as a consequence of better education and empowerment of women in male dominated societies.
Popular conspiracy theorists say that the Rothschild and Rockefeller families play the most important roles behind the scenes and conduct some of the schemes through the Bilderberg group meetings.
I hope that all this lack of confidence in the system leads to everyone uniting to reject our current out dated 20th century economy. Wen need to change our system to a 21st century economy. No longer can we continues this crazy system that cripples us with an imaginary idea called money. We have to resources to and technology to make such a better life fore everyone, but its not possible in this system. Watch Zeitgeist Addendum :)
@JETP1L0T Zeitgeist videos are based on a critical thinking that is too focused. The solutions proposed are too narrow and are highly apt to fail.
Rather than laying out a specific set of must-follow plans of the Zeitgeist video, it would be rather more enlightened to put into place an algorithm that would dynamically adjust plans when certain observations, theories, and plans turn out not to work properly. This is called automatic, reasoned contingency planning.
@JETP1L0T The reason for this adaptability is that few people are privy to the full picture of what is and what did happen historically so that some information upon which decisions and plans were made may be wrong. Using wrong information to formulate plans could lead people astray to make fatal mistakes.
It is my feeling that some large percentage of what we are taught in school has been deliberately been incomplete, and inaccurate. Basing one's theories, plans, projections on this is bad.
@oldspammer Sometimes a seemingly good plan can be stubbornly followed long past the point where troubles are first noticed and ignored for political pride motives rather than reason / logic.
In the grand plans of Zeitgeist videos there is a lot of hopeful trust that a number of goals can be done using certain methods--technical or otherwise. The plans will disintegrate rapidly when those methods do not succeed to systematically achieve the desired goals in a timely fashion.
Certainly not easy changing the status quo, but I have never seen anyone come up with a better analysis of our current problems, so their ideas are ones I cherish and hold on to. I don't expect people to automatically agree, but I will hold fast to those ideas until their conclusively disproven or a better alternative is created. That's where I keep my faith, but I'm not a stubborn person. If better ideas are set in motion, I'll support them unflinchingly.
@tiberias111 The Zeitgeist system might be OK if it included incentives to further better one's own situation, at the same time, permit competing ideas to solve problems, and have some facility to adjust their scheme if some miscalculation / mistakes / incorrect information is discovered.
Right now their message is too good to be true & fails to include things in life that I currently enjoy and that I would miss if I were a participant in their idealized society--IE., too simplistic.
@tiberias111 They also have not clearly mapped out what incremental steps must be initially taken towards the process of transition, or how long the transition is expected to take, and what happens if the transition is not a smooth one what contingency plans exist to ease suffering / discomfort / lack of resources, etc.
Their scheme is like a sales job promoting a hot new stock issue that might not pan out, and end up tanking, losing huge amounts of your ability to survive.
@tiberias111 One can critically examine what they offer as being the promises of a cult or religion, that if fortunate, might turn out to be true (only if enough people believe, ha!).
Agreed that transition is not even remotely addressed, and Peter Joseph and Jacques hyper moral society sounds like one boring trip, however, some of the ideas I am fascinated by and hope they are not completely dismissed (human nature, religion, economy, monetary system issues, evolving technology, emphasis on root causes, etc.) Not saying throw all our money away and start circular cities anytime soon though.
congrats on your insider trader friend
