Benchmade Knives are the best hands down, Your not just paying for the knife your buying the warranty too. The price on this particular one is a little high for what it is.
@vampler the Infidel just sucks, the springs are too weak (as in can't go through a piece of paper weak) and advertised as a knife for the military? defintely off many soldiers' list as they often, or always use fixed blade knives.
it is ILLEGAL to make a switchblade that does not stop when being opened, you will NOT find a newer switchblade that will stick into something when the spring is engaged...
do some research before you run your mouth next time.
my brother works in the army and is CO carrys one and says its only a dead last back up since he carrys a ZT 0100 as his main and the knife is only used as a utility work horse its few and far in between that the knife is ever going to be used to stab or cut someon since there training has changed over the years but the navy seals and spec ops and what ever else super solders out there are trains to use knifes unlike the normal solder

@stickendicken Not unless you military/ Law enforcement, there are ways around it though. Know any military guys Ask thme to buy for you and give them cash.
its not cool.. i got my 3300bk in jan, and it blows..after a week it started to misfire and jam. i had to take it apart and de-burr the moving parts, tighten the blade to the running cam and use tri-flow on everything. it works like a champ now.
Why does an OTF knife need to penetrate anything while being opened? As wild as it would be to make contact and open the knife causing it to penetrate a victim... That is not the purpose of how it opens. OTF knives allow you to keep a firm grip and deploy the blade just before using it. There is another video that shows that this knife stays locked open when being thrust into board. That is what counts!!
Seems like a respectable knife in quality and deployment but the blade to handle ratio kind of turns me off of it. I understand the blade size is probably restricted because of the mechanism but I still wish it could be bigger.
call Me strange, but I'm seriously in love with that knife. I want it! it's like you´re in love with Halle Barry. you know you can never have her, but i'ts still awesome!
haha hey stupid ass it wont go thru paper cuz its for safety when it comes in contact with anything its thrown off track so it wont go thru your leg if it deploys in your pocket
there aren't any switchblades that i no of that will penetrate skin...most wont even go thru cardboard...but PAPER?!??!! seriously...and know what ur tlkn about cuz i dont no much about switchblades...but apparently i no more than you
That paper test is so cheesy. Like he said it is a safty mek. Would you want a knife the can deploy threw your flesh? Whats the benifit in a forcefull deployment? Look at video "Infedel threw spruce board" and than tell me this knife sucks.
I think he means that you can only purchase that knife if your are military or LEO. That IS true. I had to register with Benchmade to get mine. And so far I seem to have the ONLY 3300BK. I haven't seen anyone post a vid of one except me...
No, it can be bought through most Benchmade dealers provided it's legal within your area. Benchmade will not retail them directly to the public however. Some collectors have obtained the genuine military issue models.
You stated "Military and LEO version!". I think that's not true. The Infidels, that were issued to the Army, Military,... don't have the "Infidel" writing on the clip.

this knife is cool but it's not worth $450. maybe if they dropped the zero at the end i'd consider it.
pocketbanana 2 years ago 6
$45 wouldn't even pay for the materials.
