  • i train/fight in Mixed Martial Arts & I cant seem to do the knees crossed exercise (2:15sec) without sqwishing my junk between my legs! i've tried pulling them up & pushing them down, i've tried with boxers, breifs, & naked. nothing seems to help:( i know this exercise is very good for the lower back & i want to accomplish it, but i dont want to hurt my hotdog or my beans anymore... (im not joking) any advise? or is this a "womens only" exercise?

  • any one know some stretches that would help my nack I was bed ridden for like a month and now I can walk and every thing but the pain is still there I used to feel it all the way down to my left ankle but kow its ussualy just on my lower left side of my back . would any one have any sudgestions. please

  • I'm going to try that. My lower back has been hurting for a couple weeks, been searching on here for advice. On that note... she's kinda hot.

  • Twisting your back is a big no-no and can cause more pain and trouble.

  • That depends! With proper technique and supervision it can actually do a lot of good. I've been to PT enough with my back to know. Again...like she said, CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR and if you are in PT they will teach you the right things to do.

  • the doctor suggested me some of those exercises. It is also very important to have a good posture when we walk/sit.

  • I have two degenerative disc on my lumbar area. Are these good exercises for that? can you give me any more?

  • what did your physiotherapist suggest? maybe you should see someone before you try those exercises. These are good for irritated joint and generic back stiffness involving muscles..

  • I have been to several spine specialist. They all tell me to lose weight.

  • that may affect your posture and compress your spine..try to swim as the upthrust should give you pain relief

I will try these exercises for a few minutes every day to see if they actually improve my lower back as I do normally stand for 8 hours a day and then run a couple miles after. And I, like many other pigs on this page, do think you are very attractive, but I actually listened to what you were saying.

  • Having someone push on your shoulder or hips in that position is REALLY bad for your spine. It can shift the disks over time and you will be in incredible pain.

  • Kids these days... yes, of course she is pretty, but the info she gives is quite helpful. I'm a guy that has lower back issues and having done a few of these exercises I do feel a bit better.

  • I'm 22 and already I have a bad back. I've worked as a paramedic for four years and am a premed student, EMS is horrible for a person's back and lower back injury is the number one injury and cause of early retirement and burnout among my profession. My back thanks you Tara.

  • I've suffered from lower back pain for years. I use a lot of the moves you demo here and they do help a lot. Sometimes getting a pop is a good sign that the pain will go now. So keep up the good work and ignore the negative responses I notice you are getting.

  • Great video, I'll try out some of the techniques. It'll help more than other moves I do.

  • wow, many of these same stretches were prescribed by my chiropractor for back pain after v-ball. I didn't realize they were yoga poses. I've never tried the crossing your knees one at 2:50. I'll have to try it.

    Make sure you take deep breathes during these stretches it increases the stretch a lot. thanks for this
