@FungryMan yeah guy probably doesn't know that you can wire a battery in line. But homie you really need a dry cell back there. If that battery leaks acid it's not good. and it would make more of a difference just running a quality wire and that cap. You really think an 8guage kit is efficiently powering that? not at all man.
@Peachwii i love how ur a dumbass and maybe he wants to run the capasitater straight to a battery thats not running off the alternater so then he doesnt end up spending more money on buying a new battery and altinater after he fries it. + capasitater hooked up to main battery fucks up ur wiring
I bought two 12" xplodes from a friend. They are pretty used but not terrible. I also purchased a 500 watt alpine amp. Will this sound good? I have a nice car but not alot of cash for audio
I don't know... They will do that for sure. I'm not using these anymore but I didn't blow them...they are my home theater subs now. Check out my newest video with my alpines.
these subs are da real deal! forget all those fi subs and JL audio and alpine over priced pieces of crap! these are the best subs out there for quality and SPL the only thing close to these are wolfenhags
Oh, and since all the Xplod DVCs that were made were all dual 4 ohms, then you wouldnt be able to be running 2 ohms with 2 of them hooked up. Just fyi.
@attpureownpk fyi you cant be running a 2 ohm load with 2 dual 4 ohm subwoofers. I know how to wire speakers, Iv been doing it probably since before you were born. Each speaker will have either a 2 or 8 ohm ending impedance. While 2 of them together can have either a 4 or 1 ohm impedance. You cant get 2 ohm. Well, you could also get 16 ohms....
And I just noticed, you left the wal-mart receipt in your trunk! haha. That makes the video just so much more epic. And Im certain those arnt DVC. Sony only has one of them on the market, and they have silver cones. Well, they used to anyway. Seems they have new dvcs now. But even back then, they also didnt have the "1200w" on them
@320bit they say 1300 on the cone btw....I was jiving they were single 4 ohm. why get in a pissing contest over this? but they were not purchased from wally world. my first round sony's were though.
@FungryMan Whether they were purchased at walmart or not, ALL Sony Xplods are made the same. In the series, they are all the same subwoofer they just vary in size. Despite saying 1200w, 1300w or whatever or being dvc or svc they are all built the same.
@FungryMan And they ARE P5s. All of the five sided coned subwoofers song makes are given a P5 model number. For a reason. The old round Xplods used to have an L model number. I believe mine was an L125 or something.
if you run the battery properly it doesnt fuck anything up. cause if you notice. alot of people have several batteries for their systems. like steve meade he has like 8 extra batteries. go talk shit to him then come back. STFU HATERS
@GrateMilenko Uhh....he also has like 4 high output alternators to keep them charged....dumbass. When you add more batteries to a stock electrical system, its putting tons of extra load on your stock alternator. And the end result of this is that your alternator will end up failing in the near future.
@320bit NO FUCKIN SHIT HE HAS 4 Iraggi 300 amp Altenators. im not stupid dumbass. your the dumbass. he also pulls 30k watts. talk shit to my face bitch. Stfu
@GrateMilenko wow, someones on their period. I was pointing out that MOST people that have multiple batteries in their systems dont upgrade their alternator, they dont think about the charging system.
@GrateMilenko Well since you claimed that meade has tons of batteries then you should also mention that he has a ton of alternators to keep them charged otherwise people get the wrong idea.
@320bit u dont have to upgrade ur alternator, u run a switch through ur car so when ur original battery is full, it switches to the battery in the back and charges that 1. its quite simple tbh.
@europe0wnz Doesnt sound that simple to me. Since Iv never heard it being done that way. You would have to have 2 special switches for that to work. Since, the way you have it, you would have 2 wires hooked up to your alternators positive and both would have to have a special relay that cuts the current. But even then, I dont think there is a switch that you would be able to buy or make that could cut the current when the battery is full. Since it wouldnt be able to be voltage regulated.
@320bit well, it might not sound simple to u, but its simple to me. u can run a manual switch (easy) or run a switch that switches by its self (little bit more difficult). but either way, if ur original battery is full, the battery running ur amp will get charged.
@europe0wnz And what would be the purpose of having manual switches? Since you wouldnt know how charged a battery is. That whole idea is useless. You might as well just wire the 2 batteries together like everyone else.
@320bit wiring 2 batteries together is dumb. they both will drain at the same time, and if ur driving on the highway at 1500-2000 rpms (which is the area where ur alternator is doing its max) u could manually switch over, or u could just take the extra time and make an automatic switch.
@europe0wnz Oh really now? Cuz thats how everyone else does it and it seems to work perfectly fine. I cant think of anyway you could "make" an automatic switch. Show me something that supports your theory please.
@europe0wnz Oh and btw, different alternators will vary. Some alternators will max out near 3krpm and others will max out at 1krpm. But thats what Iv been saying, having 2 batteries in your car will hurt your electrical system if you dont upgrade the charging system. That is why smart people upgrade their entire electrical system with HO Alts and Batteries rather than just batteries or worse yet caps.
@320bit who said anything about caps? ur making this way to difficult, as i said earlier, if u want a manual switch ur gonna have to guess more then likely, but u can have an automatic switch. when the battery is full, the switch automatically switches over to the 2nd battery. if u cant wrap ur brain around the simplisity of this, then go ahead and hook 2 batteries up. which u will find out makes it 24 volts not 12, and thats not only to much for alot of the electronics in ur car
@europe0wnz Haha really? Well thanks, thats all I needed to hear right there. "Hooking 2 batteries up makes 24volts not 12v". Alright man well you have a nice day now.
@europe0wnz But whereas if you have the batteries connected "together", no you dont have 24v, but you do get more available amperage. But as with any new component added to the electrical system this puts more demand on the alternator. Adding a second battery to a stock charging system will give you CLEANER and possibly more power to your amplifier but at the cost of a shortened life alternator.
@320bit dude, u hooking 2 batteries up together is like what the piece of shit ford diesels always did, 1 battery on both ends, and makes 24v. i'd rather run a switch to my second battery and keep that 1 in my trunk.
@320bit u can show me the voltage cuz i have 2 batteries already hooked up. and i dont mean + to + i mean - to + and + to - which leaves u with 2 leads that produce 24volts.
@europe0wnz Well theres your problem. You have em hooked up wrong. Its supposed to go from the main batteries positive to the second batteries positive and then both batteries ground.
@320bit if u hook em up that way, u get a "super duper" car battery, it will still drain at the same rate, cuz they level themselves out. think of it like 2 tanks of water hooked up together, how the water levels itself. doing it the way i said isnt doing it wrong, it jsut gives u 24volts
@europe0wnz I see you had an issue with 320bit who is nothing but the definition of "youtube troll"
That scumbag has nothing better to do but go and talk shit about other peoples work as far as a sound system is concerned. All to get people to go to his shitty channel to watch bullshit clips of his system inside what is nothing but a poor mans Mercedes Benz. I might not have a top notch sound system, but at least it's better than a bottom feeder benz,ha,ha! 320bit is nothing.Let 'em talk shit!
@europe0wnz Uhhh no? Having a second battery adds capacity. I cant say whether or not they will drain at the "same time". But they will drain slower. Your starting to make no sense at all and I question your knowledge on the subject.
@europe0wnz Ok well I did some research on your little theory here and I think what your referring to are called "battery isolators". Although having 2 batteries hooked up in your car in this way wont help you at all. It will just allow you to listen to your beats with your car off longer, but other than that your electrical system is going to be the same.
you do research the only need for a cap is in comps not in daily driving. Save your money do a Big 3 and increase your amperage draw from you alt and batt
dude two sonys and you needed another battery??? LMAO dude they are not that heavy... i ran four and two amps off one battery just fine and they were 600 watt amps
@FungryMan But in seriousness, you do know that battery is killing your electrical system more than helping? Unless you have a good alternator, which if you did you wouldnt need another battery. You have to think about it. Now your probably stock alternator has to charge 2 batteries instead of one. Thats alot of stress. Take that battey out.
@shaggynjay Actually yes, he will need more than another battery to run that amplifier. That amplifier (despite being a Class D) Has a 42% efficiency rating. 98A draw to produce 600wrms with 1% thd. Shit. So yes, he needs tons of power just have a little bit of power.
@shaggynjay If he ever gets a more powerful system, 2nd battery comes in handy. Besides, why not have a 2nd battery? Unless its set up wrong, it'll just keep you running longer without an alternator.
