@OOOO191 No, dont buy a practice knife or a chinese cheapy, if youre going to learn Go ahead and get a good knife. If you can get yur hands on a BM42, they are good knives, I flip a coldsteel arc angel, which is a good flipper, the most readily available good flipping knife is a BM52, as the arc angel and 42 have both been discontinued, but be prepared to spend a good chunk of coin, a good knife isnt cheap, if youre paying under $100, the knife is junk, balance and weight will be horrid.

@spydude123 Yes, there are practice Balisong knives you can buy, which are not sharp at all, so it will be completely safe to practice with. :] They are about $5 for the practice knives, and about $10+ for the real ones.
