I cannot believe that Black Sabbath is missing!? Been watching all three parts, and I'm totally shocked, man!
For sure, like to see and hear Sleep, YOB, High On Fire, Electris Wizard, Orange Goblin, Monster Magnet and Kyuss here, but Black Sabbath... That's the very begging. Without Tommy Iommi won't be non of all these bands...
Are there any high school kids who like this music? Seems to me mostly people around my age,49, listen to, and support, stoner rock. Never see any young kids at the 10 shows ive been to. Guess they like computer generated rap crap. When I was in school we listened to Sabbath and Priest. If you listened to chick rock or disco you were in the majority but were at risk of fatal injury or death.
@stomp919 I'm 15 man, got into this music only 2 years ago (started with the almighty Kyuss's blues for the red sun!) and, as you can imagine, I haven't stopped listening since.... GREAT STUFF!!! :)
@billandtedarerad If you havent heard it yet check out Lucifers Friend's 1st lp self titled Lucifers Friend. The first song Ride The Sky kicks ass and the rest of the album does too. Totally wicked. Search Lucifers Friend Ride The Sky on youtube. Dont watch the live version first click on the lp cover with Lurch and Uncle Fester standing in a pool of blood. Heavy as fuck and recorded in 1970!
@billandtedarerad Since your pretty hip to the newer metal stoner scene, I see you have favorited Goatsnake!, Heres some old bands/ LPs to check out: Atomic Rooster 1st 3 lps check out the song Death Walks Behind You, Blessed death; cool thrash/death, Bloodrock 1st 3 lps check out the songs Wicked Truth or Melvin Laid and Egg, Budgie;first 4 lps, Aphrodites Child 666 double lp about the book of revalation/apocalypse, Sir Lord Baltimore Kingdom Come lp, Night Sun Mornin lp {rare}, Uriah Heep old
@stomp919 Been into Aphrodite's Child & Budgie for a while and I'm a bit of a 'heep head' already love the early stuff - wonderworld, magicians birthday...etc Will defiantly check out the rest though!! I recently found this band 'Kamchatka' they are relatively new but just a wicked sound (kinda bluesy Psychedelic stoner ish) i'm loving their first self-titled... well worth a good listen! Anyway man, once again, cheers for the rec.s :)

@stomp919 the fact u think only people round ur age listen to stoner is funny. I started with round 15, i am 22 now and havent met any upwards 30 listening to stoner. Most people I know round ur age changed from Krautrock of the 70s to the 80s psychadelic like depeche mode etc. Big up for u!
love these lists dude. I think it's a stoner rock/metal requirement that all bands must have at least one guy with some bitchin' facial hair. Went to an Orange Goblin concert recently, and I was so glad that I wasn't in the minority for having long hair, like at so many "rock" shows these days. Granted, the only person there who seemed to have hair of equal length was Martyn, OG's bassist.
