I just wanted to say that I am going to ASU and I am so hurt by the awful comments made about my school. I am like most of the students and try hard to do well and focus. I also know that it is true that all schools have students who are slackers. All of my classes have been challenging and I have never gotten anything lower than a B. There are also some really intelligent students there who are amazing and impress me everyday with just how much they know.

One reason so many people go to and get into ASU is because 3.0 GPA pretty much gets you in for the most part and it's one of the best priced Universities in the country (even with recent increases due to budget issues) and add the tons of colleges in it which offer the different degrees, like the W.P Carey school of Business and The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication which need higher GPAs then ASU itself to get into, it's a well rounded school.

I go to the West campus which doesn't really do any parties, it's only around 9,000 students, tempe campus is where around 47,000 of the 65-70 thousand are and that's where the parties are but ASU has been trying to get that calmed down cause it used to be voted as a party school all the time, not as much these days. But you'd be hard pressed not to find a party at Tempe on the weekends eitherway. Though, ASU still offers tons of degrees and wins a lot of awards for their students and staff.

Hey, I graduated in '02 and have to say that is was the absolute best years of my life. Tempe is amazing, campus is gorgeous and "contained" (no big roads running through it) for being a big school, and the students are beautiful. There is never a lack of things to do. I would do it all over again in a second. Go devils!
