  • YES DICTATOSTATESRS ALWAYS GOT RED CARPET WELCOME IN UNITED

  • Pakistan can never prosper. It is a terrorist country.

  • im one of luky person to met begam aurangzeb(daughter of prdnt ayb) ocne in month till her death..a great women..may her soul rest n peace..Ameen

  • This is Ayub's goodluck that he stepped down himself.. otherwise he would be standing in the lane of Noriega, Saddam or Qaddafi... its just that dictating a single man is much easier than whole parliament.. I think both served american purpose religiously.

  • Ayub was indeed the greatest statesman Pakistan has seen after Quaid-e-Azam Mohamed Ali Jinnah. This movie is a testimony to his greatness and sincerity. He made a few mistakes towards the end of his rule, which actually cost Pakistan so much. Ayub's period was a period of development and growth and prosperity. We never saw anything like it ever again.

  • wow i've never seen anything like this

  • good old days when people were morally pure. Nowadays, peoples minds are filled up with filth, greed and tyranny. Its a miserable world out there now... :(

  • Pakistani politician are cheap to rent. Army generals are a bit difficult to buy.

  • bhenchod yaqeen nahi hota k kabhi kisi zamnay mai hamari itni izzat thi..maan ki kuss jamhoriyat ki..maan chudanay gaye politicans saray

  • All the develping steps were taken under the Military rule , even the last hospital and dam , power houses. there are lots of false allegations against army rulers , which is infact for facesaving of politicians. Our own sily people are victim of Propaganda policy and are blind , deaf to understand what we r doing against Army is Enemy's Wish. People of Pakistan Like only Corrupt leaders as they are have become corrupt themselves

  • This was the time when generals weren't corrupt, patriotism amongst the army wasn't a myth. I cannot cease to emphasize the need of army being in the barracks but this tells a tale of a long lost pride.

  • is it just me or the video does start at 2:28?

  • no at that pak was better because army coups started betterment was because of civillian rule but as time went on and army started doing what they shouldnt have done decline started and army itself got weak

  • well donPakistan presidnt.Such an honurable insistors had playd a remarkable roll in the globle world. They never sold their natio- degnity & integ- & also they new all the hiddn attitu- of the other Nations & nvr waitd for other helps & and even havng a real JAZBA EMAN, they nvr complaint incide- to USA.But made a historical head to head collision with the much more Areawise & populated countory,So GOD helped us & saw the world historical cogqcurance. And I say you Be Pakistani & die.

  • A True STATS MAN,a devoted Soldier & a Great Leader,Pakistan will ever get again.Look at the reception given to him in USA is a history in it self.He was the most committed Ruler.May ALLAH rest him in peace. The NATION will miss him .......

  • aww ... the condition of our country NOW !!! :(((( SAD

  • where is Pakistan now i feel very proud Pakistani. Pakistan was flourish at that time that is why we get some much importance.we need a good leader who can bring over soverighty and dignity back.insallah we get back

  • the u2 incident was really bad.pak always wants to please usa but in the end americans always discard us.

  • in those days pakistanis can be proud of thier country and its progress, which was around 10% annual.

  • FATIMA JINAH KY SATH JO AYUB NY KYA IS KY TAMAM KAMOUN PER PANI PHIR GYA PAKISTAN KY 14 CRORE AWAM IS SHAKS KI IS HERKT KO MAFF NAHI KARY GY

  • With all due respect, General Ayub Khan was deluded and destroyed ANY hope Pakistan had of functioning as a democratic republic. People say we are reeling from Zia's legacy, I say we're still reeling from AYUB'S legacy.

And on another note, I got chills when the narrator said "In Mr. Kennedys new presidential limousine."

  • @qasimahsan93 Go and research on Ayub's works. No one gives a crap about democracy as long as the nation is THAT prosperous.

  • @alimahadtheman Prosperous for how long? And is prosperity built on a foundation of loans which you have no idea how you're going to pay REALLY prosperity? A Democracy is the fundamental right of man, it's the attitude that if after 4 years of democracy you haven't eradicated poverty, illiteracy and Meera that you need a dictatorship again that's brought us where we are. Democracy IS something we should give a crap about, prosperity or otherwise.

  • @alimahadtheman you do knw that the steady inflow of capital and rising economy was more due to the IMMENSE amount of aid we recieved by the west than actual prosperity, right? THis has always been the case with generals. Our economy has always been on the rise when they come, because they choose to be slaves of the west, and whenever they leave, the economy goes back to point zero because the flow of cash from the outside stops. Is this what you call prosperity?

  • @silversilk15 Atleast the capital and aid was invested in the BEST manner possible; even the tube well/irrigation projects executed by Ayub influence our agricultural prosperity today. Zardari is a democratic leader too sir, is he doing anything CLOSE to half the works of Ayub Khan? You are wrong, we still benefit from the developments bought forward into our country by Ayub today. We just need a consistent string of such rulers to sustain, It was his regime when Pak's GDP was like double Indias

  • @alimahadtheman Yar, why do u guyz just see short term benefits over long term effects?Things like the damage to our foreign policy, the damage to the democratic system, the "ripple effects" of ayub's rule which resulted in future dictators causing almost 90 percent of our crises today, including the war on terror, the suicide bombings, the dependency on USA, the sectariasm war among people, the damage to our sovereignty. Are these not more crucial than the meek temporary economic uplifts? Think!

  • @qasimahsan93, @qasimahsan93, you people, the nation as a whole, and today's 'democracy' loving media-related people need to understand fully and completely if Ayub Khan or any other so-called dictator destroyed democracy in Pakistan, or Pakistanis themselves are totally anti-democracy and anti-systematic. There is, by now, very ample example that, Pakistanis in general are not democratic minded. There is no democracy in the psyche of all Pakistanis!

  • @mothsmoke

thanks alot. i hope people would have a look at venezualan president, shah of iran and cuban president's video in same era before starting abusing me and degrading people of pakistan of not being worthy of democracy.its an insult of nation when people say that Pakistanis are nation of "danda". the cover up covert and overt dictators and blame poor pakistani people to be deprived.

  • Please have a look at following videos: Moscow's greeting Raul Castro

February 19, 1963 - Venezuelan President Romulo Betancourt visit President John F. Kennedy

The Shah of Iran and President Kennedy

    think... just think

  • @junaidkharal First sensible comment I've come across regarding this video. I was sick of this being posted again and again on my Facebook newsfeed. If anything this video marks the beginning of Pakistan's downfall when we started selling our souls for US dollars. Entering a new kind of economic subjugation which continues to this day.

  • @mothsmoke

    thanks alot. really encouraging

  • truth is: ayub khan was first dictator of pakistan, a self proclaimed field marshal who facilitated india by not invading in kashmir in 1962 india china war and miscalculated response in 1965. he also engineered election thru every dictator's favourite "local bodies" and defeated Fatima Jinnah widening gap b/w east and west pakistan.

  • @junaidkharal agreed!

  • it wasnt charisma of Ayub khan or importance of Pakistan, the whole drama was coz of USSR. thats how USSR treated Fidel Castro on his visit to moscow. look at the timings. ayub khan's visit was after 2-3 yrs of revolution of cuba and 3 months after failed invasion of bay of pig. ayub's visit was followed by Cuba missile crisis in next year.

  • Pehlay Pakistani president ka isteqbal aisay hota tha , ab kia ho gaya hai :D

  • america was not only the super power at that time and the love affair was about to start to keep pakistan away from USSR(russia)

  • He seems very well spoken compared to Zardari. Hell, even Musharraf has been defending Pakistan and the Army on Indians news channels while Zardari is doing God knows what. It's funny how our coutry seems to do well under military leadersb rather than democratically elected leaders as some hs pointed out. I wonder why though?! ....sigh, Pakistan could be a great country unfortunately its being run by goons.

  • This film, produced by the United States Information Service, recounts the events of President Ayub’s trip. Highlights include a state dinner at Mt. Vernon, a visit to the Islamic Center of Washington, and a ticker tape parade in New York City. President Ayub’s visit also included a trip to San Antonio where he toured and laid a wreath at The Alamo, followed by a barbecue at Vice President Johnson’s ranch in Stonewall, TX.

  • In July 1961, President Mohammad Ayub Khan of Pakistan, accompanied by his daughter Begum Nasir Akhtar Aurangzeb, paid a state visit to the United States.

  • thats we need again not becoz of usa but just to recognize us as a gr8 nation as a gr8 pakistani to feel every body prode him self in all over the world. its will happen again Insha Allah it is not impossible its just need to weakup us again ourslfe. so jago pakistan warna mar jo.... Allah i need my pakistan again like this with peaceful, wel educated, humble, free of all problems as a strong nation. AMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN

  • No bloody fool from our staff checked that the Pakistani flag is upside down on the car. I guess they were all too excited to notice all that.

  • O Allah Almighty please give hidaya to the current rulers of Pakistan and the people of Pakistan so that they can regain the same respect we once had in this world. Aameen.

  • Tyrants all of them. Made fools of by the Americans. Half of them can't even accept Osama's dead.

  • oh,. how times have changed- aub khan's wife was wearing the hindu sari, and no pakistanis were having heart attacks. these days if a pak leader's wife dons the sari, mullahs will come out into the streets frothing at the mouth. fuck all mullahs.

  • @Nusrat5791 mullahs are one of the many sweet legacies left behind by our "Islamic hero" Zia ul Haq :p

  • why the hell people blame him.... i m shocked he was welcomed in such passion

  • a really proud moment, generals are at least much better than politicians i think we all should accept the fact, even if they needed Pakistan at that time at least they respected us, not like today....

  • what a proud moment for every Pakistani! that was indeed the Golden Days of Pakistan!

  • i pray to allah that he brings to pakistan the glory and peace again ameen

  • no need to go gaga!!! the usa was supporting pakistan cuz it wanted pakistan to b a frontline state against the soviet unions expansion towards warm waters. after 1989 usa help ceased to pakistan and we lost all our important. usa only wanted us to b their mercenaries, they had no interests in our disputes, wen we went to war with india in 1965 and 1971 usa banned all supports and pakistan was left high and dry!!! wake up! no more propagandas!

  • aisee chingari bhi ya rab apnay khakster main thii.. May Allah bless his soul..

  • & dats nt cz our economy was growing dats cz usa needed client states againts soviet union during da cold war especially doz which were near soviet union.as soon as cold war ended usa left us & put economic sanctions on us so dnt chat shit

  • Uff hamari itni izat?

  • wht a warm visit, zardari should watch it!

  • We need a man like ayub khan

  • Ayub's achievements: (1) complete alienation of East Pakistanis leading to separation. (2) Rigging 1964 elections to keep Fatima Jinnah out of power (3) Taking the country to war in 1965

  • what a past .. and what a present?

  • zameen kha gayi aasmaan kesay kesay..mitay namiyon k nishan kesay kesay?

  • Fact 101: Pakistan prosper and flourish more under Generals then any so called democracy loving greedy politicians.

  • @xndon Dear, you are comparing 10-12 years tenures with 2 or 3 years tenures, so that doesn't maker sense. 2ndly every dictator inducted new batch of disgraced/corrupt Politicians left us with them, thus giving us one more confused democracy so they can take over again few years later, however Musharaf's leftover was worst. Mind my words we never had any democracy including this one.

  • @xndon The point to be noted is, Ayub Khan was being received so warmly not because he was a great leader but because he was the president of the fastest emerging country in the world, the Airline from which he's seen coming out (PIA) was the second best Airline in the world, Emirates Airlines was being incubated and trained by PIA. He was president of THAT Pakistan.

  • @hellozeegmail Agreed, but Ayub was not recieved this warmly because of THIS reason. It was because of the fact that a country at a very geostrategic position had decided to become an ally of the US, that too at the PEAK of the coldwar. Ayub wouldve been recieved equally warlmy in Russia, had he decided to go knock on their door instead for money and aid. Thanks to him this tradition has continued to this day, causing our country to go deeper into the depths of oblivion

  • @xndon Amen

  • @xndon very very very true words.

  • @xndon May I ask what you mean by Prosper and flourish my friend, we have been destroyed as a country under every fucking general. Maybe you consider prosperity to be steady cash inflow due to being a slave/ally of the west rather than the long term effects it has in your country and to the world around you :-)

  • @xndon Fact 102: You need to get your facts right :-)

If politicians are greedy, then dictators are blind. And they remain greedy just because of this very fact that they know dictators are going to come and meddle in their affairs. Just a general question, whom would you prefer, someone that fills his pockets but saves the future of the country? Or someone that does get grip on the present but inturn causes irrepairable harm to the country's future?

  • Thanks Ayub Khan for further dividing Pakistan, he was an asshole, nothing to be proud of

  • @venomx79 Bhutto divided Pakistan. HIs hate filled speeches cursing the Bangalis are all over the net.

  • @xndon What did we gave to the eastern Pakistan ??

Quad-e-azam named national language urdu for Pakistan.....what would a bengali do ?

they dont speak urdu there ?

population eastern pakistan ki zada n budget western pe zyada lagay ??

    u call it fair ?

this is what all the generals did to this country.

  • @xndon Whats funny my friend, is the fact that reality is absolutely polar opposite of what you described. Bhutto UNITED the entire Muslim world as one, made Pakistan for once stand on its feet with dignity against its enemies, gave you the nuclear power that gives you a little security against the risk of being bombed the fuck out just like Iraq , Afghanistan etc. Never has a man, after Jinnah, really judged the friends and enemies of Pakistan correctly. Take that as a fact

  • @venomx79 You bloody sense less Swine look at your Mother's ASS Hole & then talk about such a great leader shame on you, bloody bastard ......

  • @venomx79

  • this is great, indeed i have heard from elders that Ayub's time in presidency was the best for Pakistan. Unfortunately, it was a decline thereafter...

  • A dignified, visionary and highly respectable President of Pakistan!

  • The only visionary pakistani leader after qaid e azam who ruled pakistan for a decade, if he would have been 10 to 20 years more, pakistan would have been a different country by now.

  • i wishhhhhh:((((

  • He sure was more educated than the dirt we got today in power who are puppets and sell outs.

  • Surely he was a great leader. had we been luckier, would we have even better. but we must do well with a lot of third class, incompetent and corrupt garbage.
