Carly had walked in on Sonny and Alexis, went to Zander and was turned away, and accidently drove her car over the bluff into the lake, Everyone thought she was dead except Bobbie(of course), When she told Sonny why she didn't come home right away she admitted that she wanted him to worry about her & miss her, but as soon as she found out about the body they'd found (that AJ had falsified DNA evidence with to show it was Carly's corpse to get Michael back), and the funeral, she came back.

If I remember correctly she didn't purposefully 'fake' her own death, at least not this time. She had memory loss or something. When she remembered she walked in the reason she ran off is because she thought she must be dead if she was at her own funeral.

Carly, apparently is the one who died (/watch?v=aYa-2v0SpDg) though they were obviously mistaken. I never saw Sarah Brown as Carly. I liked Tamara Braun (in this and other roles). The current Carly is too shiny and bourgois, and doesn't seem to have as much on her mind.

Was that the first time they showed Tamara and she replaced Sarah Brown and that why they did the whole fake death angle. And boy that Zander took up too much screen time back then glad they killed him off. I guess Steve Burton wasn't back on GH yet. What date was this.
