This song might b sad but child abuse happens everyday. Im not sure I understand y people would abuse a child physically or emotionally. They r just a child & they need 2 b given a chance 2 live their lives given 2 them.
I'm not a religious person but I do believe that there is some1 up there makin sure that most of us r safe from harm but He can't help every1. That's why He needs our help. If you know someone is getting hurt, you REALLY should tell someone whether they tell you not to tell.

...this song is soo sad....but the story behind the song happens all to often...it makes me sick to my stomach that there are people out there that could do this to their child....i have no kids...but i will someday...i cannot imagine ever laying a hand on them...abusing a helpless, defenseless child.....it's happening wayy to much and something needs to be done....this is a rising epidemic...we need to help abused children..they are our future...something needs to be done b4 it's too late...

@thewolvesisters Did you mean the piece of paper that Alyssa handed to her friend in the classroom? If so (and I think it might be, considering the quality of that shot was poor), the paper actually says "Don't Tell"- as in Alyssa telling her friend to keep her secret for her, not to tell anyone. The cameras we were given weren't the greatest, so we did what we could... sorry!

I am grown now but I was one of those kids that almost did not make it out alive. I moved out of my parents house at 15 and never looked back. They were cruel and nasty mean. I always cry when I hear this song. It reminds me I was one of the lucky ones who got away and lived. My this song reach these abusers just one.

My friend is 14 and she got abused by her father and she finally ran away from him and he found her and now she lays with God. I couldn't stop crying after I heard of that.
