@oldskoolrocker1000 The guns and vehicles didn't kill the game (though we can agree they're pointless since Shadow is apparently the ultimate life form and he can use his chaos powers to attack), it was the slippery controls and a horrid camera with trippy physics. Not to mention the engine they used for Heroes just didn't work at all. All I can say is, it did tie up some loose ends about Shadow's past and did put an end to the 'Adventure' Ark.

I watched the trailers again to see what happened only to find out they only filmed the good parts of the good levels. XD

@Turbo200X I found myself far more into replaying levels in Unleashed than in Colors, which really just made me play it because I knew they wouldn't go away unless I did. I did appreciate the 3D stage design in Colors, while the 2D parts seem far too linear, even if you are going right the entire time.

And the music in Colors, though catchy, weren't the best. Again, in the case of Unleashed, I greatly appreciated the orchestral score over the usual pop or rock Sonic's been known for.

@Turbo200X Colors isn't a bad game, it's just not very good (in my opinion, anyway). And what saddens me is that Generations capitalized off the "success" of Colors' 3D mode (which was also extremely linear).

Why people don't credit Unleashed for making the 3D what it is I'll never understand. I just think Unleashed is an overall better game.

Sonic Adventure was the beginning of the downfall of the series. They should have followed along the story line of Sonic the Hedghog the animated series from the mid 90's (not the campy version, but the Saturday morning cartoon). I haven't found 1 good sonic game since they made that departure.
