Hi Rob,do you have older students starting from 30years old and above? Are they slower learners? might take them(us) 5 years on what sam had learned for 8 months. damn, I am 30+ and thinking of starting to learn the drums.

@MotorXiao Hey, yes I do teach older than 30 (some in their 60's) and I know it's a cliche but it's never too late to learn. Sure, it might take someone in their 30's a bit longer to learn something than an absorbent and bright young 10 year old might but it's not a race. I've always enjoyed the journey with drumming, every day you learn something new. Anyway, I think you should go for it if it's something you really want to do. Best of luck and happy drumming to you! I started playing when I'm 14 years old. I think this is not impressive because when I was at 8 months I can do alot of things. Heel toe also. My fills are coordinated and much smoother. But I'm 14 at that time this kid is 10 so he is good but not impressive. I'm 15 now and been playing for 1 year hehehe doing some wicked moeller's, Finger Technique, Triplets, Sixtuplets.
