  • @kmsoileau Why say "You're an idiot?" Everybody knows that whenever someone says this during a debate, it's tantamount to surrender.

  • @kmsoileau You've been fully and comprehensively answered in plain english several times. You perisist asking inane questions and always fail to comprehend the answers when given. Thus you are an idiot, an attention seeking troll-like ignoramus. The only thing I've surrendered at is trying to get an idiot to think outside of his god box. You havent a clue what an atheist is (despite having it spelled out to you). You are an utter waste of time. To prevent further wastage though, you're blocked.

  • (part 2) The only logical inference is that your definition of morality is logically "flawed," to borrow your term in an earlier post.

It was interesting watching you cling to your atheist talking points, regurgitating many irrelevant but familiar tropes betwixt the occasional vile insult. It's ironic that your main premise has been how dumb my questions were, when in fact you were laboring under the stupidity of a false concept of morality all along.

  • (Part 1) By your definition, repeated multiple times in our discourse, atheism is wicked. Why? Because the human-invented morality has never held it to be morally good behavior. This is because a vast authority of virtually all societies have held atheism to be morally wrong. So by your definition, atheism is immoral. Therefore, by your definition, belief in god is moral. But you don't believe in god. So your "definition" has led to a utterly absurd contradiction.

  • What a nicely circular answer: If X asks you how you know something is wicked, answer that X has something wrong with them.

So I gather that insulting someone for asking a question is not, in your estimation, a wicked act?

But really. How do you know what is wicked?

  • @kmsoileau I notice you removed your previous comments. You obviously saw the flaws in them (after I'd pointed them out) then removed them. As I said before - if your ONLY reason for not being wicked to others is because you believe you'll be sent to hell if do - then PLEASE for the good of us all keep on being a believer. I'm not kidding. I'd hate for you to stop believing and then suddenly decide that you can now go around killing or raping people.

  • @kalsolarUK "I notice you removed your previous comments. You obviously saw the flaws in them " Nah, the onlly comments I removed was a single one in which I didn't like my phrasing. You didn't have time to "correct the flaws" before I removed it.

  • @kmsoileau A question you need to ask yourself: Would you really go around killing, maiming or raping people if you suddenly thought there was no god? Do you think you are that kind of person? Or do you think you would still have respect for others and conduct yourself pretty much the way you do now? If the former is true - then as I've said twice already...please KEEP believing. Its safer for the rest of us and better for your family. Only you know what kind of person you are...you decide.

  • @kalsolarUK So in conclusion, your definition of wickedness implies that atheism is wicked.

LOL I think we're done here.

  • @kmsoileau there is zero logic to that and you know it. Just saying it means nothing unless you can explain how it makes even remote sense. I've given you comprehensive answers to every question and you havent even tried to refute any of it (because you can't). All you have done is whine and ask the same dumb questions. Just keep on believing and the rest of us can sleep easy. I'd hate you to stop believe and instantly lose your moral compass and start killing people. Yep, we're done troll.

  • @kalsolarUK "All you have done is whine and ask the same dumb questions." " Yep, we're done troll." More evidence of the adage that an atheist's IQ is proportional to the time it takes him/her to starting throwing insults.

    Hilarious.

  • @kmsoileau The insults come out of the frustration of answering dumb questions asked by the robotic minded believer. I WILL REPEAT THIS ONLY ONCE MORE AND FOR GOODNESS SAKE LISTEN THIS TIME. WICKEDNESS IS A HUMAN CONCEPT. WE INVENTED THE TERM TO DESCRIBE THE THINGS PEOPLE DO TO EACH OTHER THAT WE DON'T LIKE TO SEE DONE BECAUSE WE EMPATHISE WITH THE VICTIMS BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT THESE THINGS DONE TO OURSELVES. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS. DO I REALLY NEED TO USE CAPITALS???

  • @kalsolarUK "The insults come out of the frustration" Childish rationalization. The Devil made you do it?

  • @kmsoileau There is no devil. Its a childish image created by man. There are no burning lakes for fire....its all man invented imagery. I feel sorry for you that you believe such childishness.

  • @kalsolarUK How do you know that empathy is not merely indoctrination by society, not a result of any natural personality progression? Children need to be taught empathy, it's not inborn. Therefore "empathy" is probably just the result of society's indoctrination, not due to any natural virtue possessed by humans.

  • @kmsoileau You've admitted that you don't need to believe in god to want to want a happy life and to act in the best interest of yourself and others....and thats good enough for me. I can sleep easy now.

  • @kalsolarUK I've admitted no such thing. Anyone can be indoctrinated in any given moral code for any purpose. I never said atheists couldn't "want a happy life and to act in the best interest of yourself and others." Just as a chimp can be trained to use a toilet. My point is that if some atheist completely rejects all moral codes, on what basis does another atheist condemn or criticize that atheist? You still haven't answered my original question: How does an atheist know what is wicked?

  • @kmsoileau I havent the faintest idea how you connect a trained chimp with the natural wishes of people to want to co-exist peacefully. No one trained me to want happiness....did they train you? You have no grasp of logic, your thinking is erractic and disconnected and try as I might you will live in a fog for ever it seems. You seem to be obsessed with objective meanings of words and completely uninterested in how people actually conduct themselves in real life.

  • @kalsolarUK Was there something unclear about this question: "If some atheist completely rejects all moral codes, on what basis does another atheist condemn or criticize that atheist?" I'll be happy to rephrase it if that would be helpful.

  • @kalsolarUK "obsessed with objective meanings of words" Most intelligent people naturally want clarity in language. If this seems like an obsession to you, perhaps you should look within. When you refer to God as "wicked," it seems reasonable for others to ask precisely what you mean by that.

  • @kalsolarUK No one has to be trained to seek happiness. The problem is that one can obtain happiness in ways that are considered immoral. In the atheist worldview, everyone is born on an equal footing with everyone else, morally speaking. So if some atheist says, "you can stuff your morality and your empathy. I am going to find happiness at the expense of others, and who are you to say I'm wrong?" How would you answer such a declaration?

  • @kmsoileau some people do seek happiness and fulfilment in immoral ways. However, they do not need god to recognize that they are detrimental to the lives of others, society and ultimately themselves. Such people know there is a risk that society will make them pay in the long run. They do not need a god or a bible to work out what actions benefit themselves or society. Atheists are the same as anyone else and ONLY if they are a bad person would they act in ways that you suggest.

  • @kalsolarUK So if some atheist says, "you can stuff your morality and your empathy. I am going to find happiness at the expense of others, and who are you to say I'm wrong?" How would you answer such a declaration?

  • You can discuss the philosophy of whats right or wrong subjectively or objectively till the cows come home. The fact is - if you act badly (in ways society deems badly) you will likely pay a price at some point for that because you are most likely screwing with the lives of others adversely. You hopefully won't be allowed to get away with it if caught and I'm quite happy to let you sit in jail philosophising all day long whether you were objectively right or wrong to set fire to my house.

  • @kmsoileau To put it another way...I don't care whether you subjectively / objectively think something is right or wrong...the simple facts are...if you set fire to my house, I aint gonna like that...so I'll do my best to see that you are punished for it. And I'll come and talk to you every visiting day and we can spend the time philosophising over whether you were right or wrong to commit arson. The fact is, you will be in jail, and while you are there you won't be causing grief for others.

  • @kalsolarUK "not need god to recognize that they are detrimental to the lives of others" They may not care that they are detrimental to the lives of others. Why should an atheist care? Who are you to tell an atheist that he/she SHOULD care?

  • @kmsoileau What makes you think that not believing in a god means that I should suddenly want to run around causing mayhem? We have evolved to be social creatures, its part of the reason why we survive as a species. We enjoy the freedoms life offers and the company of others. Just because I don't believe a god created any of it has zero bearing on my personal wants, needs or actions. Acting anti socially is bad for the group...and the group will ultimately make that person pay.

  • @kmsoileau Oh ...I forgot something. I noticed that I asked you TWICE a very important question about if you would become immoral and start killing people etc if you stopped believing in god or whether you would remain sane and normal. I may have actually asked you 3 times. NOT ONCE did you attempt to answer that VERY SIMPLE QUESTION. I DARE YOU TO ANSWER IT. Because answering one way will make you sound insane and the other answer refutes the usefulness of your god. You simply dare not answer.

  • @kalsolarUK "you would become immoral and start killing people etc " No, I wouldn't, but my views are irrelevant to my original question. I'll repeat it: How does an atheist know what is wicked?

  • @kmsoileau And the reason I wouldn't is that I have been brought up with a particular code of morals that I would not easily abandon. However, that isn't really germane to the question because if I had been brought up in a family of criminals as an atheist, and then began to believe in a god, I might well continue in a life of crime. One's behavior is not necessarily a reflection of what they believe.

  • @kmsoileau Thankyou for finally admitting that you wouldn't start killing people etc if you suddenly discovered that there was no god. It took me 3 attempts to get an answer out of you. Clearly you want a happy life and you want to co-exist in harmony with others. Non-believers want exactly the same things as you. we don't need god to work out how to get them. To act like a criminal or mad man will only bring us misery and disharmony. I'm an atheist but I don't want misery or disharmony.

  • @kmsoileau Quote: "How do you know what is wicked?" OK.....I already answered this - let me answer it again by pasting EXACTLY the same words as before. If you ask me a third time...guess what - I will PASTE IT AGAIN until you GET IT. Comprende? Stop pretending to be sooooo dumb. I don't believe you are this dumb so stop play acting as if you are.

  • @kalsolarUK Ad hominem. No points added.

  • @kmsoileau I didnt insult you...I said "stop PRETENDING to be dumb". Of course...if you think you really are dumb..then I apolgize.

  • @kalsolarUK "Anyone who doesn't have intelligence enough to see that without having to have it spelled out to them in baby steps worry me." This quote of yours certainly sounds like an insult. Let your backpedaling begin...

  • @kmsoileau OK so here is my re-pasted answer. There is no objective definition of what is wicked. WIckedness is what we say, decide or collectively feel it is. The fact that most of us agree on what is wicked stems from us empathising with others who have do deal with and experience the same sort of bad stuff in life that we do. We want others to treat us as we wish to be treated.

  • @kmsoileau Let me boil this down to the basics. I know you don't appear to get this but..its one sentence and I'll past it in bold type. THERE IS NO OBJECTIVE DEFINITION OF WHAT IS WICKED. Wicked is a word and concept devised and used by man to describe the horrid shit that people do to each other.

  • @kmsoileau And finally..just in case you are tempted to ask yet again "but what is wickedness" (I've already fully ansewered you 4 or 5 times) - let me just say this. Ultimately a philsophical discussion on what is wicked has NO BEARING WHATSOEVER on how we wish to be treated by others. We want to be treated well and in return we will do the same for others and if we do that, that leads to a better life for all. The objective meaning of a word does not change what makes for a happy life.

  • cool nice work :)

  • You know, when you think about it. Saul DID end up killing all the animals in that city.

  • To take all the animals and keep them is both a sin because it is direct disobedience to the Lord. And it is like America going into Iraq for oil. It casts an ugly glow of filthy greed on what was done. If the intent of war is to stop evil then taking spoils of war would cause the good to be overlooked and the greed of gain to be seen as the reason for war. Not that such a beautiful mind such as your own should trouble yourself with reasons such issues.

  • @strattgatt Thankfully my "beautiful mind" as you put it does not believe that this wicked bible god (or any god for that matter) even exists. Which means that its all a big fairy tale anyway. Phew!

  • @kalsolarUK Reality is what it is, whether you believe it or not. Until science can provide a description, in detail, how life arose in the Universe, and for that matter how the Universe came to be, one cannot logically take intelligent design off of the table.

By the way, how does an atheist know what is wicked? If we are all just smart animals, there is no moral obligation on any of us to respect any moral code other than our own.

  • @kmsoileau There is no objective definition of what is wicked. WIckedness is what we say, decide or collectively feel it is. The fact that most of us agree on what is wicked stems from us empathising with others who have do deal with and experience the same sort of bad stuff in life that we do. We want others to treat us as we wish to be treated. Anyone who doesn't have intelligence enough to see that without having to have it spelled out to them in baby steps worry me.

  • @kalsolarUK "THERE IS NO OBJECTIVE DEFINITION OF WHAT IS WICKED." So when you said you don't believe in a wicked god, what sense did your statement make? That YOU personally don't approve? Perhaps someone else might.

    "Anyone who doesn't have intelligence"

LOL It's the oldest trick in the book, if someone asks you a question you can't answer, attack their intellect or anything that's handy. Yawn.

"spelled out to them in baby steps worry me."

Save your patronizing worry for your own welfare.

  • @kmsoileau I don't believe in ANY god. When I use the term wicked I'm using the term as defined by us humans. THERE IS NO OBJECTIVE DEFINITION outside of the human definition because we INVENTED the term and we INVENTED what we thought it should mean. I hope I don't have to paste that phrase a FOURTH TIME but I will if you ask the same question again. Before you can talk about what God's definition of the term is you might need to prove his existance first. Don't get ahead of yourself.

  • @kalsolarUK "WIckedness is what we say, decide or collectively feel it is." OK. Most persons in the world think that atheism is wicked. Therefore by your definition, atheism is wicked.

  • @kmsoileau If a belief in god is the only reason that you are not wicked to others - then for that reason alone I hope you always remain a believer.

    What a twist!

  • great video! Who would want to worship a god like that, eh? Not I!

  • Good work kalsolarUK. Excelent!

  • That loud rumble you hear is thunder. The next bolt of lightening may smite your arse. Hahahaha...that was funny!

  • Just another dose of bible morals :p

  • lol!Nicely put XD.

  • 14 inches past six XD

  • yea that was funny

  • J43fan... you've got to be kidding. Are you saying that if god commanded you to slaughter a town full of people you'd do it?

This event in the bible should be a death stroke at the heart of the 'religions of the book'. How anyone can claim god is good, just, perfect and the foundation of our morals after reading about this is just beyond my understanding.

  • You sir, have a beautiful mind!

  • lol, thanks for that..its better than the usual "twisted mind" that I get from the creationists.

  • You're excellent.

  • Good lord, cannot divulge, but I am dealing with a satanist as we speak.. of course they are more normal than white toast, you know, fit into what ails the world, never flinch, etc.. When I do return after this harrowing battle, I'll challenge ya to a duel. but do not expect me to quote scripture, I only repeat what my Heart was told once.. NIte and Happy Egg Rollin' Day! Me

  • Morals are absolute, but God can make them up as he goes along. Makes perfect sense to me. Now excuse me as I wait for God to send 2 she bears to kill off some kids who called me names the other day. He did it for Elisha after all (2 Kings 2:23-24).

  • hehehe you're brilliant.. and what is your relationship to Eddie Izzard?..

  • erm...none what-so-ever... however, I'm getting worried, as a couple of people have said similar things. Just keep me away from womens clothes and make-up - just in case! lol. Oh...and thanks for the comment! Much appreciated.

  • The Bible is such a great fiction.

  • what about the story of the bears that kill a bunch of children. i'd love to see that one done.

  • undoubtedly I'll get to that at some point, sounds like just the stuff for a video, lol!

  • really? I'll find a bear and have em tear your sorry creepy ass to shreds.. dumb fuck

  • You really are a latter-day Oscar Wilde, aren't you?

  • hahah, that made me laugh.. listen I got rode out on a rail here for standing up, and oscar wilde was alright, until he fooled around with that kid.. but You are a good egg.. bye now.. have a gooodone..

  • Very well done indeed. Comedy gold. I have thouroughly enjoyed your videos. Keep it up.

  • When you do get round to the new testament, I would love to see your take on Jesus killing the fig tree. That gets me every.....

  • time*

  • Yeh. Gordon Bennet, the bible's a hoot, innit?

  • For simple minded scruffed up neandethals, a hoot, is not the word.. It's a blessing, separates good people from dumb clucks who laugh at life and I know you. You dumb and idiotic for even openig your piehole.

  • What clever and witty words. I guess I should just kill myself now that I've been so utterly thrashed, humiliated, and destroyed in verbal warfare. Oh wait, no, I'll do something else instead: ask you to back up your insult-coated assertions with facts. Cheers.

  • no Dear, it's not easy being a christian when attacked. I apologize and you are just speaking what you don't know. sorry.. I'll get off your page.. Peace out.

  • Hmm, there's a cowardly way out. I'm not attacking anyone. I want you to back up your insult-coated assertions. If you can, that is.

  • I got bigger fish to fry. I don't have time arguing with atheists! that's childs' play.. if you only knew, but ya don't and I don't chickenout on the Truth, you surmise.. big difference.. later!

  • Yes, well, I claim victory to-day.

  • Victory.. hmmm, how about Sharpen Up and take the crown to town? Royale whisky that is.. right arm, friend.. ya get it.. I'll be back as my self.. name is... irish.. keep diggin in the dirt and make the mudpies with flourish!

  • To be fair to the almighty, there sometimes is a moral reason for killing animals. In Australia we have to cull kangaroos to save the environment and we've developed some nasty viruses to make rabbits' eyes explode. But then again, I see no reason to be fair to some capricious, omnipotent deity. He's come up with some nasty viruses himself to cull our population. e.g. small pox, and let's not forget his numerous acts of genocide. No wonder we nailed him to a cross when he last came to Earth.

  • make rabbits' eyes explode? What the... I knew you Aussies were crims, but... ;D

  • Yes. It's called myxomatosis. It actually came from Uruguay, but it was deliberately used in Australia and the UK for rabbit control. It has lost some effectiveness as the rabbits become more resistant and the virus weakens to become better at spreading. It's actually quite an interesting case study of natural selection at work.

  • We also released the RHD virus in 1996. It's terribly cruel, but these damn rabbits, they breed like rabbits!

  • On the plus side, they're delicious in a pot.

  • Ah, good ol' myxomatosis. Didn't know governments actually harnesed its creative power ;D Cheers for the knowledge.

  • Righto! Take for instance, AUSTRAILIA.. think it was an accident that God sent cutthroats and evil doers thee? Not for rabbit stew, or to watch this idiot in a yellow room, pacing and lookin like a caged animal.. See the world, pal.. ya need God sometime.. I can tell

  • What are you going on about? I genuinely don't understand whatever it is you're trying to say.

  • Ahh bible satire, i'd of said i would like to see you branch out to other religions one day, but knowing how some of them take it, best not to eh :)

  • hahah, so true, the bible is funny. not very a bright book, one dimensional characters and slow narration but very funny indeed.

  • Good and evil aren't objective truths, they're subjectively defined by God on a moment by moment basis! Didn't you get the memo?

  • Damn that papyrus, disintergrated the moment I touched it - well at least I now know what it said! lol.

  • I always look forward to your videos... I'm sure a donkey has something to do with this somehow... ;) BTW: love the watch LOL.

  • Well..the asses and the other animals did survive the slaughter in this story, so you might be right - hmm?

  • You're right the donkey's survived... the magical donkey... the possibly speaking magical donkey... possibly with an extra ordinary jawbone capable of killing thousands... And obviously a sinful and evil magical donkey to get the typical divine death sentence... it all seems more clear now... yes... yes...

  • lol

  • Excellent as always :) Funny stuff.

  • "But you really came through for him there so, gold star"

    Brilliant

  • This is why I read though the boring bits of the old testament for the hilarious stories. I did not like the sequel much. You know when a show has a successful first series sometimes the second one gets a but preachy. The author gets a platform and he wants to use it. And there was a lot less violence, probably aiming it at the kids. The new testament is the holy book version of the pre water shed Torchwood.

  • I agree entirely..however I'm sure when I get to the new testament I'll be able to squeeze a few gems out of it. lol.

  • good work man! :D

  • Lol - does your watch have a millimeter hand too?

  • lol, funnily enough - yes!

  • I find it strange that the creater of the universe needed the help of some 210000 desert dwellers to get rid of the Amalekites and their cattle.

Why couldn´t he just zap them out, or do some other magic stuff onto them?

  • I remember being an idealistic ten year old reading that passage. I was soooo shocked! The nuns had always told me God was good, and merciful, and just, and fair, and on, and on, and here was wholesale murder of babies that was good and fine. That when I started reading the Bible to see what was actually there instead of what I was told was there.

  • I only read this story for the first time recently and found the whole thing quite laughable - and thats even before I decided to try and make an amusing video out of it!

  • Amazing video as always.

  • Utterly hilarious..

  • Thanks for that! To be fair, its hard to go wrong with source material of the bible's calibre. lol.

  • I love the way you retell the bible!

    ROFLMAO!!!

  • You'll be rollling in fire, stupid broad.. yuck yuck.. what a ay to get your jollies, peeps, I'd wonder, daddy or mmummy make ya hate the Truth. God IS good to those who aren't dumb fools sitting here, making creeepy comments.. POOF!! this place ranks.. Later.. Bless ya all ta helll!

  • Ah yes, such a witty and undoubtedly very loving christian comeback.

    Cheers!

  • Uhh which Bible verse is it (I want to cite it to make fun of christians on some forums because this is truly a ridiculous story).

  • You'll find the story in the first book of Samuel, Chapter 15. I condensed the story here obviously, but it does clearly give the impression that when god wrote "thou shalt not kill" he actually meant..thou shalt not kill - unless it's me telling you too - and therefore the killing of even innocent babies (as in this story) is not evil if god gives the command..but failing to complete the task by not killing the animals is!

  • When it says though shalt not kill war crimes don't count ;) He said thou shalt not murder.

  • 1 of 3:

Main comment: very funny--great video: 5 stars!

Side comment: you noted that the Bible 'does clearly give the impression that when god wrote "thou shalt not kill" he actually meant thou shalt not kill - unless it's me telling you to ' My thought on the subject is that having one rulebook for your own tribe and a totally different rulebook for "outsiders" was common in ancient times--

  • 2 of 3:

--for even Genghis Khan, who had no qualms about robbing and murdering millions, forbade theft and murder among his troops.

The mythologist Joseph Campbell wrote about how common it was for "religious brotherhood" to be defined very narrowly:

  • 3 of 3:

'[The idea of] brotherhood in most of the myths I know of is confined to a bounded community. In bounded communities, aggression is projected outward. For example, the Ten Commandments say, "Thou shalt not kill." Then the next chapter says, "Go into Canaan and kill everybody in it." That is a bounded field. The myths of participation and love pertain only to the in-group, and the out-group is totally other.' (From The Power of Myth, page 22.)

  • Some excellent observations there - you really are good when it comes to the detail of these things! Thanks!

  • Joseph Campbell, a 3rd grader knows that numbnut was godless and drooled.. Some role model..

  • "Joseph Campbell, a 3rd grader knows that numbnut was godless and drooled.. Some role model.."

Ad hominem attack. Look it up.

  • I usally assume you paraphrase things to make them more absurd but this time you lessened the absurdness. This story is hilarious. God gets angry for not killing animals. Loving God my ass.

  • I always try to let the actual absurdness come from the "good book" itself - so although I'm writing these in comedy fashion the absurdness is always from the bible. OK, so maybe King Agag wasn't killed for having a stupid name, (but he was killed and chopped to peices) lol - but then I'm sure you already worked that bit out. The rest of the absurdness (god regretting making Saul the King and calling him Evil for not killing the animals) is accurate to the story.

  • You think God loves YOUR ass? think again, gay man.. sharpen up and recall this. Wisdom is Love and the bunch of you here are fuckin backward jerks with not a bone of care in the lot of ya... pathetic..

  • "You think God loves YOUR ass? think again, gay man.. sharpen up and recall this."

So you can speak on behalf of God? Mighty impressive display of arrogance there. Your bible says God loves everyone, so shove it.

"Wisdom is Love and the bunch of you here are fuckin backward jerks with not a bone of care in the lot of ya... pathetic.."

Yes, because education and religiocity on average in populations of countries are proportional. Oh wait! No, they're not. They are negatively proportional. Lulz.

  • @smaakjeks "education and religiocity" Irrelevant. Religiosity is a psychological and cultural phenomenon. It is not an authoritative reference for whether a god exists.

  • @kmsoileau

It is an individual's education that is negatively correlated with that person's religiosity. In other words, the more educated you are, the less likely you are to be religious; especially if you are educated in natural science. With that I wasn't saying that religious people are all uneducated. I was merely responding in turn to that other person calling me a "fuckin backward jerk", among other things.

  • Fourteen inches past six. Devilishly funny!

  • Good stuff.

  • I love your watch! :-)

  • Agag does have one helluva stupid name.

  • At least is a pronouceable name..unlike many of the others in the old testament! Thank god for small mercies. lol.

  • hilarious, i love these vids

  • i knew a guy that read the bible, drove him crazy!yes. in the end, we found him in a church, praying, LOL, crazy fuker!!!

  • Praying for the return of his sanity no doubt!

  • why would he pray for that? sanity is not all it's cracked up to be. you ever met a really smart(clever) person?no sainity there mate. crazy but true, lol!
