  • Who's been running this country? The trilateral commission and the CFR! you ever hear of them? They have members on the boards of all the largest corporations.do you know what bobby ray hinman was doing before he was running the microelectronics and the computer tech corporations? A CIA director! Sleep Sleep! It's late!

CBS ABC Time and newsweek, same to me. Puzzling evidence.

  • @MsMaggieOC OCCUPY !!!!

  • David Byrne was very aware long before the commoners...it's because he's in show business , everyone in show business knows the truth.

  • THIS is art

  • Wtf is this?

  • Strange but true last night 3/8/11 at 8.30ish I was watching tv and my iphone began playing talking heads Road to Nowhere, strange thing is I do not have the song at all let alone on my iphone. Very strange, or not depending on your views and what you may know, anyway I googled talking heads illuminati and this vid was about the only result that has anything to do with the band, I'm so pleased it was a video of truth so pleased :@)

  • @TheAlienesque Oh yeah, definitely. I was just trying to say that one decades music isn't any better than another. And its too bad there aren't any cool feature length "music-video" like films these days. ....yet.

  • I bought the DVD for $7.99 at K-Mart. In a great big shopping mall while I was wearing my cowboy hat. and green suit.

  • A brilliant, brilliant, delightful, funny, poignant movie that everyone should see. Thank you David Byrne.

  • @TheAlienesque Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

  • you know how hot dogs come ten to a pack ? and buns in packs of eight or twelve ??? you gotta by nine packs just to make em all match up .

  • Lyndon LaRouche could use this for his campaign song in 2012.

  • Brings Back memories when I was a kid...Far better then the music of today

  • @HaloSpartanG13 There was bad music back then.

Plenty of good musicians nowadays too. Its just they aren't allowed to direct films like this.

  • Its such a long time since I've seen the film but now I've dusted down my VCR and Will be settling in for some classic entertainment. David Byrne is a GENIUS!!!!

  • read wiki-leaks and john pilger ,theyll give u the real news

  • This movie, along with Stop Making Sense are must owns for Talking Heads fans. I think the movie is just as relevant today as it was in 1986.

  • This was probably the most random movie I've ever seen.

  • What an amazing movie! As I view it in 2010 I'm sure it seems even more surreal than it did when it was new in the 80's.

  • I am making new memories of T Hs. This movie is a Texas girl's wishes come true stories. I found the last copy at a discount store for $3.00 uSA. You don't think I grabbed it up in a nano heartbeat before the freak next to me got it first. Lol. I did. I have laughed and loved through it many times.

This cut from the movie is the best, you know it is. XXXXOOOOs for all time.

  • This movie is awesome. Talking about the Illuminati. It's so obvious. Love it.

  • Do you run out of Kleenex, paper towels, and toilet paper at the same time?

  • Oh god! It's really happening! Buildings are wearing hats now!

  • Got what u wanted lost what u had

  • This is so true of what's happening / has been happening in America right now. Will President Obama turn things around away from the global power elites? I hope so as the planet cannot sustain much more abuse from the military-industrial complex that President Eisenhower warned about. Is it already too late though? I hope not. Take action to awaken those around you if you can. Seeya.

  • @gizzthegremlin obama is a global power elite. He owns banks, and big industry.

  • @gizzthegremlin Amazing look into the future from David Byrne and a great reply from you. The global power elites have been running this country since WW2 but the majority do not know it or turn a blind eye to it. This movie has a subliminal message to it that i have just discovered. Let me know if you would like to research this movie further. jamesrael6@aol.com

  • @rael6 Hey , David Byrne was very tuned in, but you know a lot of people were in the 80's, I've been hearing this stuff for 20 years, it's just that everyone else has been discovering and rediscovering all of this due to the internet and youtube, now we get to all talk about it to each other, which is wonderful. People started really bitching about this stuff during the Reagan administration, and then put it together with the Kennedy assassination and the Vietnam war.Iran contra let the cats out

  • This is a great Upload.

Thanks & To the Elite "Fuck the New World Order!"

  • miiiiiiike wallace wants my body

  • thats my ringtone

  • i'm not a joiner ......

  • now I know where Glenn Beck gets it from

  • "It was LOVE that killed John F. Kennedy! He shoulda never messed with me!"...If i ever get just one chance to shout that out in public, I will die a happy woman

  • this clip could have been made for today , its the banks that run the world

  • This was always one of my favorite parts of this ever so quirky and funny movie. David Byrne for President!

  • IT'S All TRUE!!

  • Mike Wallace wants my body.

  • Best dancing movie and music ever!!!!

  • the leading grandpa is phantastic -- the highlight of the film

  • from the scence i've seen,it looks pretty weird but good, naturally that fits Byrne's nature, concidental uh maybe so.

  • Thanks ciabluebird I live in Cabo and it is very difficult to get staff here but i will follow your advise thanks a lot!!!

  • tachunka1968

Well being in Cabo, I take it you won't be able to make it over this weekend to watch the movie ~lol

Anyway I hope you are able to get a copy

It's not well known but is a great movie.

  • does someone know where I can get the movie?

  • I have it you can come over an watch this weekend.

  • The media isn't controlled by corporations, media is controlled by the statists.

  • Major Newberry, are you out there? This is still an hilarious piece of work, and we'll always love it.

  • You got the CBS, and the ABC,

    Time and Newsweek,

Well they are the same to me.

    Perfect corporate controlled media!

More true now than ever. What would Aaron Russo say?

  • I am confused? The best laid plans gone awry? Everthing David Byrne predicted has come true. It's late, It's late.

  • Funny how they show a RED PILL in this, even before the Matrix.

  • 1:24 wow look at those :D

  • Paranoia is a religion. I get it.

  • Perhaps it was a WARNING, google alex jones endgame.... You don't think that in a country with 300 million people the best wew could have ended up with to vote for was Obummer or Johnny Mac n cheese for brains. Look up the the lateral commission, the only way you coulod talk about this stuff in the 80's was to make fun of it... funny we are moving closer to that New World Order George Bush talked about right after he became president in 89. Byrne does lay it all out int the video!

  • lol glenn beck

  • You know its all true, And why is it that hotdogs come 10 to a pack and buns are 8

  • "Oscar Mayer & Co. says it routinely gets complaints from customers who want hot dogs sold in packs of eight or 12 to match the number of buns they get to a bag. But an official laments that whenever the company has tried to comply by selling wieners in those quantities, hardly anyone has bought them. "We can't explain it," he says with a sigh..." The Wall Street Journal, 9/21/84. Ironically, I got this from the book "True Stories" by David Byrne.

  • This is quite simply a movie miracle one of my favourites, John Goodman was good in it too, and let's face it David Byrne is an absolute legend as a writer and composer, any one who has the opertunity to get into Talking Heads please do, Definately in the 10 things you must do.

  • Thanks for sharing this scene from an excellent movie. _True_Stories_ is my favorite movie and I await the release of _Sounds_From_True_Stories:_Music_For_Activity_Freaks_ on CD. I have it on vinyl & cassette, but I'm wearing those copies out.

The preacher in the "Puzzlin' Evidence" scene is John Ingle. His presence and voice permeate American media. Look at his bio. on Internet Movie DataBase.

  • This scene actually got David Byrne kicked out of the Church of SubGenius because he "stole their ideas". The SubGenii are people who base their beliefs on conspiracies and a sense of humour. Weird eh?

  • No, that scene did not "get David Byrne kicked out of the Church of the SubGenius." An idiot writer in Baltimore wrote an article to that effect but it's bullshit. Byrne JOINED the Church in 1984 and was going to have us do this scene, but when the Hollywood money came in, those plans were ditched in favor of people with more 'track record.'

  • Ooh eh... sorry I only know what I read...

  • Rev! What's up???

  • One of the best scenes in the entire movie! Thanks for posting this! Do you have the dining table scene?

  • awweesome video. thanks for posting

  • nice shot of the weird world...goes good with Rev Billy and the stop shopping choir ...life is v strange

  • I've always loved this one. And I thought of it today when a friend of mine claims that Gustav is the product of a secret NOAA research project designed to redeem the Bush administration's credibility...

  • Now it,s even later wake up.

  • It is true after WWII America with the European governments placed policies that changed the world and of course the elite who participated in the new policies had to benefit from them. The policies are not all good for the peoples of the world.

  • It was love that killed John F. Kennedy. He never should've messed with me

  • This is still in dated with life!

  • Thank you! ........

lol, he has no clue what she is talking about

    :)

  • It's the Lyndon Larouche gospel choir!

  • I didn't know that Lyndon LaRouche was a gospel singer.

  • The main actor in this scene was my wife's drama teacher at Beverly Hills High School in the 70s. She still gets a kick when she sees him in a movie.

  • The pastor? thats hysterical!

  • He had a good enough voice.

  • The lying ladies hat in this scene. I've always wondered if it was a part of a floor buffing machine? No doubt she bought it after going to the fashion show to wear with her best brick wall outfit.

  • It's all true! :-)

  • @beatityatube Yep, she said so- @ 6:02

  • This cracked me up. And of course I agree with the sentiment - if you haven't seen it, watch "They Live" by John Carpenter. It will remind you of the matrix. It will remind you of your life.

  • What a great work of Art.

  • Just this scene by it self is better than most full films. True Stories is such a brilliant and under appreciated work.

  • @demarconia I went it and saw it when it was in limited release to theaters, in Atlanta GA when it was brand new. I was instant fan.

  • @demarconia This is possibly the worst movie I've ever seen. I have to watch this for school... It's a piece of shit.

  • @bobtherazor Not enough explosions or gratuitous nudity for you? Oh kids. Getting dumber by the year.

  • This is my absolute very favorite part of this movie--- Thanks for posting!

  • If you have the capability, i think my sister would love you forever if you uploaded the last song, the Papa Legba sequence.

    Awesome work tho

  • Send pic of sister (lol j/k). Well, I can't resist anyone's sister's love. I'll try to get to it but it will be a while though. I'll message you when I've uploaded it. Cheerios.

  • Cheerios?

  • @etcee I loved Papa's sequence!!!

  • I love that scene of the businessman dancing in his office.

  • Same here, always reminded me of the film Koyaanisqatsi (even the brief music in that office scene, sounds like Philip Glass).

Anyway, thanks for uploading this, bookr98! One of my favorite scenes from this movie.

"Mike Wallace wants my body ..."

  • he he he

  • From the movie, TRUE STORIES with David Byrne of Talking Heads.
