I love it when Fozzie thinks the newsman is talking directly to him through the tv when he says "authorities think they are missing", and "remember to lock all doors and windows".

I think Kermit misunderstood the man on the news! Kermit thought the man on the news said for people to protect themselves against the burglar.

But I think the newsman said for people to protect themselves against the thunder storm based on the picture of the lightning in the corner of their tv.

Technically, this episode is from the 1990s, not the 1980s. This first aired in 1991.

These 1990 Muppet Babies episodes aren't that great, IMO. I like the 1987-1989 episodes best

I feel the same way. IMO the series started off kinda good, then got really good in the middle, and ended not very good at all. But it's those 60 or so episodes in the middle that really make it great.
