I did the treatment in August of 2011. I used the same brand you did and It can out well. It did loosen my curl pattern however, after a few deep conditionings(from normal care no extra care needed) my curl pattern returned. I will do it again when I want My hair straighted for longer than a day or two.

I actually have the same brand with the shampoo and conditioner...i haven't used it yet (b/c i have yarn braids in) but do you think it'll work without the treatment? BTW i've watched your videos; (which is really informative) your hair is lovely! Love the personality as well :p

Be careful, most medical professionals don't recommend this treatment because of it's chemical make- up. Even the products claiming no formaldehyde have some % of it. A little can have cancer causing affects. Not hating or anything...just want to be watching your vids for many years to come :-)

@goddessieasha I was on Mirena and it took out ALL of my hair. The worst shedding I have ever experienced.

I went to a salon to get a BKT back on 8/30/10 and my hair started falling out like crazy. At first I loved it. I loved the low maintenance of my hair, but after a couple of months, I realized that my hair was not growing any longer and on wash day it was falling out like crazy and getting single strand knots. I had to cut almost all my hair off and start again. I was heart broken, I hope you have a different experience than mine. Thanks for sharing...

ur hair looks great and very soft and smooth. wasn't it dangerous applying the treatment onto ur hair with no gloves on? what does it contain?

@djsugah The one I got is pretty much safe I guess. It does not have formaldehyde in it like the ones when the salons first began doing them. I had no issues applying it without gloves but then again I never use gloves, even for relaxers.

I've been using the same brand and yes if you continually use it it will loosen your curl pattern, while on the other hand its a great heat protectant, plus the next time you blow dry your hair it will be quicker and less tangley IMO, but I am a fan and will continue to use it!
