How to make 720p Quality Videos in Sony Vegas

I uploaded a video to my channel using a HD webcam and when i came to look at it the option 240p was only available? why is that how can i change it? the quality on my laptop is amazing. When i put it on youtube it was 240p not 720p which is what it was on my laptop using my HD webcam 720p

mines showing 1hr 40 to render a 13m dead video in 720p....render times differ depending on the pc you have and the specs, and also what your doing while its rendering, for me mine is literally rendering and doing nothing else, if your playing games or whatever while you wait then it slows it down alot :/ hope this helps :)

Main settings also shouldn't Blend Fields at about 1:30 . If the source is 720p60, the frames are averaged if the SmartResample is enabled on the clips. The latter is harder to find and check, but you'll see doubling in areas with motion.

You should say how big the output file is

The rendering quality shouldn't be at 'Best', It should be at 'Preview'.

This way it preserves the original frames of your clip rather than vegas trying to smooth and frame blend everything (making it look like crap).

This is exactly what your video is suffering from, frame blending.

Pause at 0:51, see all those mixed frames? That's what "Best" rendering quality does.

Possibly, I recommend making a short test and see how it turns out. If it doesn't work then stick to the original settings.

How much RAM do you have on your computer? I thinking that if you have bigger RAM, it'll take less to render and upload? Can this work for Vegas 7 Platinum? And is it true it can also work if you render the project as a normal .avi first and then drag it into the timeline and do this, just like that guy said?

I have 2GB of RAM in my pc. I have not really experimented with avi's. I always render in mov out if camtasia and wmv out of vegas.

It does, but its unbelievably slow, but I asked the guys at Best Buy and they said its my video card that is slow, I need a WHOLE new computer to upload faster.

Ok LOL rule #1. Never trust bestbuy without a second opinion. rule #2. If your computer does need a video card upgrade but everything else on your computer works fine then just buy a new video card. Do you have a desktop or a laptop? It's so easy if you have a desktop but if ur afraid to open up ur computer than just buy the new card and see if geek squad will do it. Or just ask the local nerd. If he's nice like me then he'd do it :)

well you can do a laptop but its hard. i wouldn't recommend doing it yourself at all but you might look for a computer repair shop in your area. Look them up in the phone book and give them a call and see if they can service your laptop. It just seems a shame to get a whole new card due to an obsolete graphics card...

No I think you should try to get a new graphics card for your laptop but if not you could get a new laptop but you have to think about how important HD is to you.

It's called rocketdock, search for a tutorial on it. I would make one but it's pointless since there are already a billion on it. My favorite is the one by vvcomphelpvv. That's where I learned about it.

well, what do you use? the video can't be originally formatted in .avi format, i accidentally tested this :/ and it didn't work. So if your game video is formatted in an .avi originally then no, you can't. If its in a .wmv or .mov then yes. By the way .mp4 doesn't work either.

no, the video file is under 100MB on this video which is 5 min. long. Rendered in about 45 min for me and uploaded in about 20.
