Police officers are arrogant, untalented, sanctimonious, felonious COWARDS who think that they are the hottest beings in the universe merely because they are handed a minuscule amount of unearned power on a silver platter. Cops are bribe extorting, evidence planting, robbing, torturing, perjuring, framing, murdering, inept, low IQ, sociopathic FAILURES who could not get hired to clean toilets in the private sector, which (unlike police departments) has legitimate employment requirements.
End the Drug War. Save Cops lives. Put the Criminals out of business. You think it's bad now, wait till our country turns into Mexico, and these Heroes start dying in masses.. Wake up people.. we have our Police Enforcing Laws that inevitably get them killed.. Remember the 1920's... almost 100 years later we have not learned our lesson. Prohibition = Fail. Prohibition = Gang Violence and Drug Dealers. Good Cops join LEAP, and are Oath Keepers.. Where do you stand??
@DonSolo52 Oath Keepers is a fringe group. The founders of the group may or may not be well intentioned but one cannot expect sworn police officers to join a group such as Oath Keepers. There are multiple reasons and to a lesser extent politics does play a role. Any officer who has a family for which he or she is working hard to support is not going to put their career on the line for a group with unknown intentions such as Oath Keepers. Good cops uphold the law and treat people fairly.
If you express any negativity to our service men and women; you deserve what you get! I am willing to put my life on the line the least you all can do is show some friggn' respect. Thank you for sharing this!
Jan.23, 2009 / 14-yr veteran N J State Police Officer Brian Holmes was convicted of drug possession and distribution and sentenced to 14 yrs in prison for selling cocaine. Moises Hernandez, 41, also a state trooper, admitted he stole and sold kilos of cocaine and got cozy with drug dealers to tip them off when investigators got close. Holmes, 42, was his partner in drug operations and took five kilos of cocaine from a drug seizure for Hernandez to sell and the pair split the proceeds.
Cuffacop: EAST ROCKAWAY, N.Y. - Authorities on New York's Long Island said an off-duty police officer saved a family when he noticed smoke coming from their home and woke them up.
Nassau County authorities said the officer was on his way home Sunday morning when he saw the smoke at an East Rockaway home. They say he rang the bell and banged on the door until the residents woke.
Two adults and three teenagers escaped without injury. The officer's name wasn't immediately disclosed.
New York Post / 10.19.08 It's hair today, gone tomorrow for the NYPD's drug-testing plan. The change has made it harder for officers to cheat on drug tests, such as substituting someone else's urine sample for their own. Hair screening also can detect drug use going back 90 days. Standard urine tests show drug use only within a day or two. (However, the NYPD unions representing cops contested the more accurate method, because it was cruel to animals and liable to detect cops on drugs.)
CONNEAUT — A Conneaut police officer rescued a young girl from a smoke and fire-filled Orange Street house early Wednesday morning, firefighters said. The officer, Patrolman Tim Rose, was first to arrive at the scene and was able to pull the child through an open window to safety, according to reports.Annagruen Trentham, 5, was flown by helicopter to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, firefighters said. She was listed in good condition Wednesday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said.
FULLERTON Officer Ryan Warner was following up on a traffic investigation in Anaheim at 6:30 p.m. when a man flagged him down in the 1900 block of east Center Street. The man said a woman was screaming in a nearby apartment that her toddler wasn't breathing and was blue in the face, Perez said. When Warner located the residence, he rushed in, saw chicken nuggets in the toddler's throat and tapped the child on the back to dislodge the food.

Dec.19,2008 / An Orange County Calif. sheriff's deputy pled guilty to falsely imprisoning prostitutes in order to sexually touch and photograph them for "official police business". Deputy Richard Rodriguez, 44, while on duty and driving a patrol car, told prostitutes he had to "run" them in his system for their identities, threatening to arrest and jail them if they didn't comply. Rodriguez, guilty of false imprisonment by fraud or deceit, was sentenced to a year in state prison.

Police do a job you either can't or won't do for money you wouldn't want to try and live on. Every single person on my dept. has a second job. And we face the same dangers as a "normal citizen" plus what we do for a living. A big reason the numbers lie is that many police assaults do not go reported. When a mentally ill person batters an officer, they don't arrest them. Nor do they usually in a overdose situation. Know what you are talking about before you spout.
The median annual earnings for police officers is 47k a year. That's pretty easy to live off of. The lowest ten percent earned just under 27k a year which is just fine as well.
people forget that why police officers are here...to protect us and to prevent stuff from happening..yes there are some cops that shouldnt be cops but every job has those assholes..and some might be a jerk when they give you a ticket but think of what they have to go through everyday they have to see the bad side of people so give em a break they are here for US and to serve US my uncle and grandpa were cops and im so proud of them they saved alot of lives even some that didnt deserve to b saved
You might feel that way but I had started two careers before I decided to be a police officer. I was going to school to be a orthopedic surgeon then changed to nuclear physicist. I then joined the Army and deployed strait to Iraq. I dont know how many times you have attended a ride along program but every traffic stop could be our last. Every time we make entry into a house that could be our last time. Theres a reason why not everyone who wants to become a cop can be a cop
For those of you who like to sit there and just rip apart those of us who wear a badge. If you are so much better then us, why dont you get accepted to a department, complete the training, and put you life out there evertime you go to work. Cant really say much if you spend your life asking, "You want fries with that?"
I think we all forget that police officers put their lives on the line for everyday citizens. Its almost as if people forget what they do until you need them.
Two studies have found that at least 40% of police officer families experience domestic violence in contrast to 10% of families in the general population.:

NEW BLOOMFIELD, Pa. (AP) — Robert J. Pavlovich Jr., 40, of Camp Hill, PA, a former Marysville Police Officer, has been convicted of molesting or propositioning more than a dozen teenage girls for sex while on duty. Charges included corruption of minors, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault and bribery in official matters. One woman with a mental disability testified that she was pressured to perform oral sex on Pavlovich when she was 19
MOORESTOWN / NJ (CBS 3) Apr 23, 2008 ― More charges have been filed against Moorestown Officer Robert Melia Jr., 38, a Burlington County police officer who was recently charged with sexually assaulting three girls with his former girlfriend, Heather Lewis in his Pemberton home from 2003 until 2006. Melia Jr., 38, also has been charged with four counts of animal cruelty after engaging in sex acts with cows between June and December of 2006.
