actually you left out one additional step at about 6:29. after selecting custom shape, you need to right click and actually select the shape you want, otherwise it defaults to the last used shape or the "arrow" if you've not used custom shapes before. i think you probably had the telecaster selected before so it came up fine for you.

I'm guessing you have a mouse without a wheel... Cus' if you did, I'm sure you would rather zoom by holding Alt and scrolling with the mouse. Also, Alt + 0 makes the images fit the window and Alt + 1 gives you 100 % zoom. These are quite useful shortcuts.

u dont need to alt click all the anchors because the picure will be badly selected just like this. only need to do this when the curve DOESNT continue that way. remember: u can edit aswell, not just delete

You really ought to learn to use longer intervals inbetween curves, and not rely on alt+clicking each one. It ruins your curve and gives it jagged edges.
