If you try to play this game on an emulator or on a big screen it basically sucks. Its a bad port of Street Fighter Alpha 3 in that case. But if you play it on a handheld like it was intended, it is amazing. Just thought I would put that across lol. Its weird how a game can be completely transformed depending on what type of system you are playing it on.

I like this version of Alpha 3 better, in the other versions it's really hard to throw your opponent since they required two buttons.

the only thing i dislike is dat there are some missin stages and sounds :(

there should be at least chun lis or hondas stage and too bad chun lis orginal outfit is not available....but i still like this game

graphically its actually not too bad for a GBA, obviously not as good as the console ports but to be honest this was probably the best looking and playing portable fighting game at the time

It couldnt get any better than this. GBA has a very low resolution screen and im surprised crawfish still manage to squeeze in eye balls into the characters sprites, I do hate sagat's look, he looks unfinished or rushed... man if crawfish was still alive today, I know we see some more ports of capcom fighting games.

You know some people are arguing about this game but its obvious that they need to sacrifice some things of the game i prefer all the moves and all (or some) the voice effects than the commentator and background music it's like a King of Fighters 95 for Game Boy but with all the characters.

hmm i'm kind of liking the gba version better than more arcade-perfect ports.. music sounds more retro and the ommission of that annoying commentator is a good thing. "go for broke!" "go for it, maaaaan" "triumph or die!" ugh.

For a GBA title the animation is pretty good. This game needed a ram cart on Sega Saturn.

The graphics actually made sense in terms of the gameplay and keeping the visuals close to the original aspect ratio. Yeah it was shrunk, but believe it or not, the animation is actually better than the PS1 version.

i disagree with you there,the PS1 version only had a slight animation loss,the GBA version had a lot of the animation missing,but the GBA version is still good for what it is.

yeah i know its a handheld game,but i was trying to make my point with darknight068 saying that the GBA had better animation,i disagree with that,the ps1 still had better animation,plus about the extra characters,i would personally stick with the psp version,yeah crappy d-pad,but i would still stick with it.GBA version is still pretty good though.

Excellent game, owned it since the day it came out. The only version of SFA3 that I like better is the PSP version.
