@dyhongloong that isnt really true. no one still supports slavery, and no one supports legalized segregation. it is worth noting that most people live in relatively homogenous neighborhoods, which means that even most liberals and democrats tend to self-segregate based on race/ethnicity. there are more white democrats than black democrats, so if they really believed in integration, the white democrats would move into black neighborhoods. they don't because they are no better than anyone.

The Founding Fathers were against factions. However, they recognized that it was probably inevitable (Federalist Papers, dude). No where is it written in the Constitution that there should be a 2-party system. The first two parties were the Democratic-Republicans and the Federalists. They really emerged during and after Washington's admin becuase of disagreements over states rights/federal power. I agree that it's a good thing to have more than one party, but dude, get your history right.

its true, slavery was first abolished in the south, but not BY the confederates. lol the South didn't abolish slavery. the war was about more states rights than federal so the South broke from the Union. Lincoln then later on had the emancipation proclamation which freed all slaves in the South. The Confederacy didn't do this. Lincoln was trying to create morale boost and make the war about slavery, thus giving more support for the North.

Earl Warren, who lead to the Supreme Court in the Brown v. the BOE, was appointed by a Republican. That Republican then enforced the Court's decision with military units. The Democrat's then passed legislation that granted things and made all the achievements of African-Americans appear as a government handout...

I know what affirmative action is suppose to do but for all of its benefits it has very detrimental affects. It racism to continue and spawns new racism. People being passed over for jobs based on race or students not being accepted to school because they are white. And then the minority parties that have degrees are seen as less than.
