The Tone, The Tone, The TONE!!! Love ya, Steve! Love ya John! And Paul and Glenn, too. This song was like a pair of those defibrillators for me last year.
i've just bought a pair of Sex Pistols shoes from a second hand. and they were new:)) What's their story, i wonder? the mom got home with them ,bought for his kid. the kid said : but mom, don't u know , i really don't like this band. sooo... the shoes got to me!
heheheh great! but you search VIOLENT FACES...they are the new sex pistols and ramones in an only band....revolution is coming ;) the first single is UNITED STATES OF ITALY, real anarchist song!! :D
The original song by Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers did a lot to persuade me to move to Massachusetts, land of Route 128 and Stop & Shop Supermarkets. Indeed, it's great to zoom down the highway late at night with some New Hampshire classic rock station blasting (usually better than the Boston stations) and hang out in the parking lots with the "RADIO ON!!!" Spent 11 great years in MA, loved it there!
The original version does indeed say Stop 'n' Shop, as does the version originally recorded by the Pistols in '76..... But the Brixton live version he changes it to knocking shop...... Doesn't take a lot of working out? ...... Yanks just don't get British humour!!
@andysmith63 hmmmm.....This original song is about Massachusetts and driving along route 128, late at night. The most popular food market here is called Stop N Shop. Sending out some schooling for ya.

@lexmarks567 That's John "Rambo" Stevens. Arsenal hooligan/former jeweler (I think he's retired). He's Lydon's "minder." He's known him since the 1970s.
Glen with S.P again :-)
